Great video, not chaotic at all. Love all the planners you will be using and really looking forward to following along 😊. I’ve swapped out my B6 Sterling ink for Standard Travellers size Sterling Ink Compact to see how I like that, I enjoyed the B6 but thought I had too much room so hopefully it will be good and I’m waiting on my Sterling Ink 5yr to arrive, love your idea with that !! So exciting thanks for sharing with us
Thanks! I hope the standard size works for you. Sometimes I feel like Goldilocks trying to find the right size. I'm really excited about the 5 year. I just hope it works the way I imagine it in my head. I guess we'll see!
Yay! Thanks for watching! I'm glad it came across better than I expected. I didn't have a plan when I filmed (honestly I never do with any video) so I'm glad it all made sense!
Every once in awhile I pull out an old journal but mostly I never really look at them again but they are pretty important to me despite never looking back. The way I see it, it's the story of my life from when I was little and maybe someday my kids will want to know even more than you know about me and it's all there.
@@beautifulmessplans same. I look at them very rarely. I find that I wrote things that I had forgotten about, which helps me to remember that I need to write things down that I don’t want to forget so the memory will be there next time I look back.
Wow, that's a lot of your day spent writing stuff down. I would never have time to do all that planning. How many hours a day do you spend planning/journaling/etc.? The recipe book is nice, but I don't know if I could write all that down every time I cooked something. If you make something twice, do you add it twice?
I really don't do too much day to day with journaling/planning. On Fridays I setup the next week and over the course of the weekend I will jot stuff down as I think about what I need to do for the next week. Then the night before I will make a list of things I need to do for the next day but that's usually just a few minutes of time. Journaling takes me more time and depends on how much I feel like I need to get off my mind that day but still is never longer than 30 minutes at the very most but usually closer to like 15 minutes. The rest of the planners like meal planning and my book journal are just used as needed. As far as recipes are concerned. For my actual recipes I only write down the full recipe once in my recipe book so I can make it again at another time. In my actual meal planning book, I will write down the name of the recipe so I know what I plan to make that day and then I'll jot down the ingredients I need to pick up from the grocery store in my grocery list. But I never write down the whole recipe every time I make a meal. I only add recipes I haven't made before but ones we all liked as a family so we can make it again another time.
Hi Bec, just remembered I wanted to ask you what type of transparent paper will you use for pics you will put in 5 year diary. I was thinking of like washi/transparent sticker paper ? Is that what you meant ? I wouldn’t know where to order that from or if there is a particular brand that is good but wondered if you have recommendations for that as I would like to have some in case I want to add photo’s occasionally in my 5 year diary ? Thanks in advance 😊
Yes. For my shop I use a transparent sticker paper and I have used it for printing some book covers in the last few months for my reading journal and it is really nice to have less bulk and I don't mind that you can see the grid/dots of the paper behind because you don't really notice it with the image printed on it. I use Online Labels for my transparent sticker paper, but I also buy in bulk for my shop but I think you can get a smaller amount from them since you probably don't need 100s of sticker paper. I just get a clear full sheet sticker paper from them and it works great.
