There are no jobs! I got laid off last April and I still haven't found a job after applying for something like 1000 jobs.. seriously.. 1000. I made nothing for a year. If it weren't for my parent's money, I'd be homeless. A new trend is to advertise fake jobs for tax benefits which is apparent because the same jobs are advertised for months on end. I work in AI and I can't find a job, now think about the normal person who is paying rent. If they miss 1-2 paychecks, they are out in the street. Also, with older people, no more cushy retirement packages are being given out. With rent prices increasing, no one can afford rent anymore. Somehow rent has increased so much that it is really the same as a mortgage for a house. If you are paying $2000 for a 1-bedroom apartment (as is the case), you could literally just rent out a whole house for the same price. Instead of criminalizing homelessness, how about creating new jobs? How about prioritizing US citizens for jobs (I say this as a minority). America is the only country that cares more about non-US Citizens than US Citizens.

Billions down the drain & the problem has only gotten worse every year for decades. But they're just going to keep doing the same nonsense unless we vote in people who have a clue.
