The Groveland Florida Pro Wake Board Tour event on Lake David always offers some of the best performances of the year. The head to head format proved a significant factor in the results with some tough opening heat draws. The format really seemed to play into the talent and cunning strategy of riders like Nic Rapa. Nic had a huge day landing double tantrums to blind at clutch moments. Thus throwing another hat in the ring for consideration of the overall championship at the final event. That head to head format also played well for 2023 overall champion Tyler Higham, 2022 overall champion Cory Teunissen and current overall rankings leader Shota Tezuka - the veterans with the experience were able to really take advantage of the conditions and the format at PWT #3.
