Clipping ear lobes is an ancient tradition, done to prevent the shredding of ears on thorny bushes etc. while running on top speed, a single stride of 10 to 12 feet. Salukis love running, chasing and killing prey; they've been bred to do that for thousands of years. Also lure coursing is not illegal, it's a sport and a hobby both dogs and their respective humans can enjoy. However using live animals as lures is illegal in most countries, therefor stuffed bunnies.

Raising dogs is haram except for halal purposes like guarding or as shepherds. for hunting dogs there is a particular ruling that forbids you from eating your dog’s hunt if it doesnt give it to you voluntarily, if you had to pull it off its mouth then you cant eat it. And also, dog’s saliva is unclean (not in a physical sense), if it touches your clothes, you cant pray before washing your cloths 7 times one of them with dirth. Thats except for hunting dog in the aforementioned mentioned situation
