I just bought the RDX with Tech package. I am now an empty nester and just wanted a smaller car. I love this RDX. The track pad is easy to use. I only need a car to go from here to there, not much driving, this car is perfect.
Not having smudges and fingerprints on the screen, EVER, is fantastic for me. Voice control/Bluetooth Audio and the remarkable ELS 3D audio, absolutely no regrets here. The driving feel/dynamics (SHAWD), the size/dimensions and COMFY seats. Just enjoy the ride and stop playing with the Tech. 😊
I just bought a ‘24 after owning a ‘19 RDX. I was hoping they would update the infotainment, I even checked out several other brands. In the end, nothing compared with style, finish, power and quality for the price!
The value seems to hold a little better with AWD vs non-AWD models. Not simply because of the higher initial price but because it is more versatile and only has a marginal mpg penalty. Most secondary buyers want the AWD.
I have a 2019 RDX and am very disappointed with my car. The main reason is that the 360 all-around view cameras have very poor resolution, and I can barely see all objects around. In reverse, it's also impossible to see anything, regardless of whether it's day or night. The display itself is small, and it becomes even smaller when using the cameras, as part of the screen remains dark. The most frustrating thing is that after four years of use, the display broke, and it cost me $10,008 to repair. So, before buying a car, check the screen and make sure it meets your expectations. Personally, I won't buy an Acura again. I previously had a 2012 Lexus RX and deeply regret trading it for what I have now.
At 6’5”, how is the driving comfort? Enough hip room? Comfortable bolsters?I’m between this and upgrading my grand Cherokee for another, obvious size difference but rdx slightly better head and leg room. Thanks!
I find the RDX to be very comfortable to drive. Plenty of room for my 6'5" frame in the drivers seat, enough hip room and the bolsters on the Tech package are fine. If you move up to the Advance model you can adjust the side bolsters as well.
@@CarDietrich I went with an a spec, liquid carbon with red interior. Beautiful and fun to drive. Downside is it’s not as easy getting out of I’m 6’3” but otherwise feel very comfortable. Btw, I wouldn’t have considered test driving due to smaller platform had it not been for your video. Thanks!
I"m debating the same thing. It seems like the jump to the Aspec doesn't really do much - the circular exhaust looks better. But the flat bottomed steering wheel, ventilated seats and and 4 more speakers don't seem to be a lot for the extra 3k. I'm coming out of a TLX where there is a much bigger difference between the Tech and Apec (SH-AWD only available now in a A-Spec)
i lease a 2021 rdx and that s the last acura i d lease until the change to touch screen almost got into in accident try to figure out the pad , and everyone that comes inside the car goes for the screen thinking it s a touch, i m an idiot and i think this needs a make over , i wonder how much you to have to pay a smart guy for him not being able to see that this system is outdated
@@CarDietrichIt’s disappointing to see Acura dismiss hybrids and go all in on an EV. Their sister company has hybrids across the line. Lexus/Toyota has hybrid options across the line. I was in an Acura showroom waiting while my car was getting serviced and all they wanted to talk about was the ZDX. At this point hybrids are just a better option. No range anxiety. No hoping the charging network gets built out. No massive depreciation.
it is still acura has a tiny display, exactly as my 2019 RDX advanced? WOW!!!! And screen still divided in half and becomes even smaller? It is ashamed. By the way, the 360 cameras view it’s completely useless because it’s resolution just very very very terrible. Forgot to tell that after 4 years the display was replaced and i paid $10008.
