If choosing the Datejust, because for other models, part of the experience also means “sitting” on the waiting list for quite some time. Then you might get tempted to buy the watch on spot, for a higher price, from a different source.
Very informative! With tye quality of reps being what they are, it is getting harder to spot fakes. Rumor has it that in tye case of Panerai, even dealers can not tell them apart.

Hey, Lizette! The official engraving done by Rolex is available on the back of the case back, so you can only see it if you or a watchmaker opens it. Some people custom engrave their case back, but they usually do it with the owner's name, or some other custom information, not the brand or the model of the watch.
Sadly we can't help with that, as our mission is to help people avoid getting scammed with replica products (i.e. paying $15,000 for a $500 item). We don't stigmatise those who wear replicas, but disclosing info about these products is countering what we're trying to do in the first place.
