Honestly, I don’t know why you think 23% depreciation over five years is bad. Most of the time I find vehicles five years old are sitting at 50% of their value.

I’ve owned many fine cars, and 1 Mazda. It’s the biggest engineering disaster of any car I’ve ever owned. People who own them usually like them, but working on them is a nightmare.

​@apacheworrier3776 what did you work on? An RX8? Mazda is one of the easiest vehicles for DIY maintenance and parts are leastv expensive among japanese brands.

Seems to me these are some of the lowest depreciating vehicles. Lots of vehicles loose 50% after 5 years!

These numbers have to be wrong. All of those % loses are way less than anything in the history of the automobile. I’m confused with this report

Leased a cx-5 and when i returned it after the 3 year lease I had a ton of equity and after the math only lost $800CAD

I purchased my Tacoma TRD Off Road for 38,000 dollars in 2019. Yesterday a dealer offered me 35,000 dollars on trade for a new one.
