@@joeynickles7962 McCaffrey keeps pushing off. Both of his receptions were the result of push offs. You're right about Cam Hart, he has skills. What we can't forget, and by that I mean me, is that some of these guys haven't played for like two months and don't have their sea legs. I can't hold Day 1 against them.

Overall I agree with your fundamental point. And your point is one reaspn why when everyone was going crazy for Michael Wilson last year I was more measured in my response. You can’t throw 4 jab steps and 5 head fakes while running a route in a real game. You need to get to a particular place at a particular time. However, I don’t agree that these 1 on 1s have no value or shouldn’t be paid any attention. They help with the athletic evaluation for sure. You really get a chance to see how these guys move, good on good, rather having to rely on “hey, he had 3 interceptions against North Yukon Territory State and the receiving room consisted of 3 future accountants and 2 reindeers but it was a heckuva game.”

Your point is valid. You have to know what to take from and what to dismiss when in comes to 1 on 1s.

You have to remember he hasn’t worked with these receivers before. The timing is usually off in these all star games, especially down the field and especially early in the week.

In terms of physicality yes, Deebo was/is a better route runner for sure.
