Shimano.. the best there is..Period, used Shimano gear since the 80s.. from the fighting drag reels and magnum lite rods to SLX xt and Vanford…never once a failure.. ever!

The only thing they’re missing is a 10’6 MH slow action trolling model for those of us that prefer conventional reels instead of mooching reels when downrigging. They make one in a Clarus but the foregrip is much too short.

JP need a 7” 6’ for throwing hair jigs for smallmouth in rivers in Northern Illinois - recommendations in Shimano line - price is not a consideration - thanks so much and appreciate the quality content!
