@logicwins3492 Not exactly. We turned off the energy saving features and set it to professional mode, but it's extremely easy to do and doesn't require any sort of calibration to get the picture quality you see in this video. If you purchase one from Abt we even offer free lifetime technical support so our technicians can walk you through the process if you have any trouble.
@@logicwins3492 I can vouch for the fact that the out-of-box at this level is a pretty perfect base to start off from, I’ve tweaked my a95l here & there but nothing “professional” just personal taste Also the audio is so good, I retired my pair of Apple HomePods & I have hearing difficulties, so these speakers are really really great

Some people are saying the Bravia 9 is a Master Series, is it? I ask cause traditionally Master Series goes through strict panel selection and quality control. Or are there no longer a "Master Series" branding going forward?

About 4 years ago I purchased my Sony TV 4K 55X90 -LCD/LED About 2 years later I noticed what appear to be handprints on each side of tv during play. Thru are most visible when screen is white. Anybody else have this issue or heard of how it can happen?

I want to see a comparison as well. I still ended up buying a Z9K even after the 2024 lineup was announced just because I see more features I needed from the Z9K thats not on the Bravia 9

Bravia 9 77 inch money will get you A95L 55 inch. Mini LED vs Oled. Oled gives you very deep blacks and amazing contrast when compared to Mini LED. Mini LED is going to be brighter and a will give good vibrant colours! Main decision would be of size, picture quality with regular content will be very close!
@ptshotsun At the moment, the 65" versions of each TV are the same price. The Bravia 9 is brighter and has, subjectively, better audio. You really can't go wrong with either model though. If you like really dark black levels, go with the A95L. If you're willing to sacrifice a little in the contrast for better overall brightness, go with the Bravia 9. You know, you can simply unbox it ON whatever cabinet you're going to use. Easier than crawling around on the floor. After installing the stands, slide out the cardboard and you're home free. No lifting, no touching the screen, etc.
@st8kout961 There are many different ways that will technically work for setting these TVs up, but the idea behind these videos is to show how to do it based on the manufacturer's instructions specifically.

I still bought an 85" Z9K after Sony announced its 2024 lineup. The Z9K while 2 years old still has some features that are better then the Bravia 9 like 3 HDMI 2.1 and 85 Watt audio compared to 2 2.1 ports and 70 watt audio on Bravia 9. As far as Brightness the Z9 series were already known to hit 4000 nits. The Bravia 9 is advertised as the brightest 4K TV they ever made...but not the brightest TV they ever made 😉 And upscalling 4K content to nearly 8K is still impressive even though theres arent much native 8K content. The Bravia 9 is impressive no doubt! So for me the Z9K was still better in a lot of ways then the Bravia 9. 🤔
@@leandrocharrua1277 The Z9K and X95K were the First Mini-LED XR Backlight Master Drive models in 2022. The X95L was 2023. Then they even put more Mini-LED on the Bravia 9 for 2024. I was upgrading from an Sony 75" Z8H (360 zones) that was not even Mini-LED Backlight Master Drive, and I was going to get a 85" Samsung QN900c (1920 zones) because of the budget...I saw a video in space with fast moving starfield to my suprise the QN900c had visible grey areas around the stars like the local dimming is trying to catch up and even the new QN900D did the same. My Z8H never had a problem like that, soI do believe Sony about its not the number of zones and how you control them. Its proof to me that Sony's local dimming algorithm is still better than other brands boasting their number of zone count. Im just glad my wife agreed to get the Z9K in then end after I showed her the demo.

@AndrewB23 - Not really a joke because as Sony amortizes the cost of the new backlight technology they'll be able to lower the price. OLEDs have been around awhile now and they remain relatively expensive.
I guess I'm still trying to understand why someone would invest time, energy, and effort posting a negative review on Amazon when it's pretty likely they don't even own this TV set.
@@DC-np7kw OLED owners are just mad because 83 inch OLED TVs are CRAZY expensive and are going to stay that way. Meanwhile, you can get a good 85 inch LCD TV for around $2,000.

@@AnythingGoesJoJoyou won't notice, I have an lg cx OLED that I removed all the safety features I could with a service remote and have over 10k hours with everything maxed out that you shouldn't for longevity, I am just now seeing slight burn in from the RU-vid logo in the top right corner and some dead pixels other than that it's perfect
I want HDR highlights, No ABL...and I dont like the "Its bright enough excuse" Sorry OLED guys some of us dont have a light controlled room and at the same time some of us wants to keep our TVs for more than 5 years without loosing brightness. OLED is great if you change your TV every 5 years or so and if your ok with ABL...But theres a lot of people who just wants a consistent bright TV for years of use...until OLED does not get "brightness reduced within 1-5 years" and "potentail burn-in" ... then Im sorry, Im sticking to LCD until then...Im not rich that can just get a new TV every 5-6 years .. .And dont come at me that your keeping your TV for more than that cause your lying...i litterary have a Sharp 70" UH30 from 2015 and its as bright as when I first got it then and I use this TV minimum 4-5 hours a day... go do that on a OLED and tell me it will be the same after all these years. So stop it when you guys argue that OLEDS are superior...they obvioulsy depend on your use case! And obviously they wont last that long! Prove me wrong...its ok Ill wait!
