Nice job Jackpot. I have South Carolina at 5-7. I think both A&M and Vandy will be much improved this year. I will say though, I'm worried about Mizzou at South Carolina in 2024. It comes at a tricky time for the Tigers and I think the Gamecocks will be fighting to stay alive for bowl eligibility in that game. That said, I like how well thought out your predictions are. Being a rare fan - my first allegiance was to UGA.Deep Family ties there go back 3 generations. Before we had children - I lived and died with the Dawgs. When they play - I just watch and enjoy & do not pull for either team. So I am never disappointed!!

1st time listener here. Not a S.C. fan except when Spurrier coached, however, this was a good program with some good insight. Also love your faithfulness to your team. I listen to a lot of podcasts with guys pumping up their teams just so I can troll them but not the case here. I AM wondering if Frank helps out coaching or gives Shane pointers or suggestions. South Carolina isn't beating LSU. Or Texas A&M. 4 wins max. And maybe only 3. S.C. searching for a coach but really should give Beamer one more year.
Thank you. I respect your opinion, although I disagree with it. There is nothing to suggest that LSU and Texas A&M are not beatable at home for South Carolina. I’m aware of our shortcomings, but, Beamer has been known to pull an upset or two in his time here. I have no idea if Frank helps him out or not. I’ve never really thought about that but it is an interesting topic to ponder.
USC has upgraded at most positions, except QB and receiver. I expect the defense to carry us and the offense to potentially explode in some games. I expect to win every game at home except one (ole miss or mizz) and split road games. If TRob is the secondary coach at Bama I expect Sellers to have a 500/100 yard day and upset them or cover the spread. If USC can get optimal protection, a solid run game and even limited production from their receivers then the ceiling is 10 wins. If we get hurt the season could be 4 wins. We already have a better oline and RB situation than any previous Beamer year and Sellers doesn't have the turnover issue our last 10 QBs have had. No matter what happens, 2025 and 2026 will have primarily 4* juniors and seniors and that sets up for another 2009-2012 run. Beamer was the primary recruiter then and dont forget the X factor: Sean Elliott

Yeah, apparently the SEC and Georgia didn’t think it was a big enough rivalry, even though South Carolina and Georgia played every year for many years before we joined the SEC
Jackpot who do you think the other starter at LB will be? Last year the starters was Debo Williams and Stone Blanton. My guess would be Bam Martin Scott or Charlotte transfer Demetrius Knight. Mohammed kaba would be a starter if he can get healthy
@Carolina Jackpot - I agree with your overall record prediction. I think SC takes a step forward and becomes bowl eligible. Question - you’ve been a vocal critic of Shane Beamer. Is 6-6 good enough to retain him (from the Board of Trustees’ perspective)? I know SC fans will probably not be satisfied with anything worse than a winning record in the regular season. SC’s schedule is brutal. They draw several playoff contenders in LSU, Oklahoma, Alabama, Ole Miss, Missouri, and Clemson. Half their schedule is filled with legitimate contenders. Lots of unknowns with a new QB, a defense who has had difficulty against the run, and a much maligned (and rightfully so) offensive line. I do think SC springs some upsets. Lots of promise in their new QB. How about the receiver corps and the running game? Ceiling: 8-4 Floor: 4-8 Keep pumping out great content.

I’m not saying for sure but I have seen a lot of slants and zone read in our offense even to Reno running more of that style in run throughs the route trees are alil different from last season
Wow what a up and down schedule. First look at it I say it’s manageable but second look there’s some brutal stretches in there. If they go 6-6 that’s a successful season. I think South Carolina got some good pieces to build on gonna be a little exciting to tune in on some gamecocks games this year.
Long story short we still got Shane Beamer and the same offensive coordinator. It doesnt matter the amount of talent we have. Last year we had more talent and had a horrible year.

Kalen DeBoer is a great coach but don't excuse the impact of Saban just because Kalen survived last year,Washington State almost knocked out the team at Washington, and he's no Saban Saban lost to UL Monroe in his first year. Stop hyping, Alabama. They WILL take a step back.

Mizzouri is a really good team but the hype really comes from them having the easiest schedule in ncaa football this year.. this will be a great year for mizzouri
That is a brutal schedule. That will be the same schedule for next year or the following year. Florida's schedule is even worse, I really feel for them. But every team at one time or another has had a brutal schedule like that, and it's not fun. M-i-z go tigers.
How does Choklahoma beat Carolina with that bad defense at Choklahoma? He couldn't stop Big 12 defenses,mostly unranked as a threat, and their secondary isn't good, 300+ given up through the air

I can see a 6-6 season out of SC. You get UGA off the schedule. You catch Bama, A&M, OU during a transition. Kentucky, Mizzou are 50/50 games. Think you lose to Ole Miss, Bama, LSU, and Clemson. The other games are winnable.
I’m a Clemson fan but this is straight up legit. I would love to see both teams do well this year. Always fun when the Rivalry game is between two teams with good records. Who knows how much longer we will have the game with the Conference changes.

Everyone talks has imput. At the end of the year , your team will spend about 40 hours playing games. Less than the average person spends working in a week. Magazines will be sold tv money. Coaches and players pay. We spend a ton of time and money on college football. I love it and I'm passionate. Am i crazy for spending so much time being an armchair QB ? I think 6 wins as well. What if you win the Kentucky game your then 4-0, that could lift your team over a Ole Miss team that might be look past you all. That is a possibility to be 5-0. You got to beat Oklahoma. They need a lesson.

Beamer had a couple of pop years at South Carolina where he exceeded expectations. Sidenote, how is it very optimistic? It’s a six and six record, which is not the bar. I picked us to lose to Kentucky, a team that South Carolina is on par with and has beaten the past two years. You do realize the upsets happen in college football from time to time and Beamer has been known to pull a couple of them when his back is against the wall.
