I have Shikishima, Bourgogne, Mecklenberg, FDR and R. Lauria (purchased in that order). I regret getting the FDR to be honest and for the reasons you mention. Planes are slow as s%^$ and the reset is unworkable for me. I love all the others even though I will admit that the Shikishima is a bit redundant if you have Yamato. I have almost 20k steel again and will easily have enough for any ship when the next coupon drops (11/28). I am honestly not sure what to get. None of the ones that are left are particularly attractive to me. Maybe they'll add something else soon.
Thanks for the video Bou and SAT! I'm a DD main, but playing a bit more BB lately. Love my San Diego. Should I get Austin, Lauria or Bourgogne next? Already have Ragnar. Austin and Lauria are at the top of my list. I've had lots of very solid games with San Diego by careful positioning and movement, and the idea of Austin's unlimited stronger MBRB is very intriguing. Understand the paper thin armor. Also like SAP. BB play is mostly too slow for me, but Lauria big gun SAP and 120 mm deck armor are interesting. Understand the citadel weaknesses somewhat.
@@thatinternetguyj5222 I have a Ragnar, but haven't played it much. It's very powerful and special. Strong heal, strong and highly accurate German guns, radar, etc. Definitely recommended, especially if you like the accurate German guns.
My steel ships so far are Bourgogne which I got first, one of my favorite ships. Stalin which I wish I can return and get my steel back. And Austin which is also one of my favorite ships.
@@jasonkickass9418 because I’m an aggressive player and Stalin can’t be played as aggressive anymore. Between carriers, air strikes, and subs along with just the normal HE it melts down very fast.
Ragnar can dump on even a Smaland. Smals guns are incredibly strong, but I think gun for gun, the Ragnar can still out gun it. The thing just pens like a beast. But Smal has the radar and torps so it's overall a more complete thing, but still, Ragnar from a pure gun perspective... you land your Ragnar shots and it will be melt tons of ships. Just guns and heal, it's just a ultra pure gunboat game play. Best way to humble a Sherman is if a Ragnar rolls into it's turf. Sherman's run at the sight of it.
I really dont understand why everyone's complaining about Gato after the so called nerf and 4501 being the top dog?! Sure 4501 has heal and somewhat speed under water and have more torps but they tickle in comparison. Also more need for pings which spawn plane ASW from 4 directions. Shotgunning was a stupid mechanic that should never gotten into the game. So now you need to sit 3 km .... 3 km away from a T10 BB to Nuke it from full HP .... yeah, she is so weak... Also fast on surface where you wanna spend most of the time anyways for all spotting damage and sick Base XP in every game.
