I own a 2015 legacy 3.6 R. My 2nd week after I bought it brand new , the GPS went out. Had to wait 2 weeks for the part. A year later light bezel on shifter went out. Dealer fixed it 3 times and after 8 years it went out again. Lots of electrical issues. Oil gasket pan leaked after only 55000 miles and now I need a new bearing after 67000 miles. I will not buy another subaru in the future. I own a Honda accord and acura integra. Both of those had been in shop less time for the past 24 years.
23 white sports trim owner here. The 24 sport added the Bose system which is something I miss. I wouldn't recommend getting the wireless charging pads because they don't have proper cooling and will heat up your phone. I've driven it for 1.3 years and 14k miles, and the only issue I've had is the front radiator assembly leaking when the car isn't warmed up properly and then pushed up to a high temperature. The dealer replaced it under warranty because there was no physical damage. I noticed in videos the LDA opened all the time, the car will handle better if you change the LDA form ALL functions to Warning only, it drastically change the turning feeling and cornering hesitation. But I keep it on all the time xD. However, the car's handling isn't the same for the different cars with the same trim. My car accelerates and turns better under 30% fuel but doesn't change much even when adding more weight above 50% fuel. My friend's one driver consistently worst at all full range. And one used sport trim from a local dealer when I test drove consistently good and as the same feeling as touring trim. I highly recommend test-driving one before buying. Glad to answer any related questions.
2024 Sport owner 2k on the Odometer. So far I really like it, it’s not my 2020 WRX but still fun… sorry for being dense.. what do you mean LDA being open in the comments? I am all about looking to get this car tighter in the corners, I know it won’t be WRX tight but anything to get it in that direction. It still handles pretty good for those looking to pick one up.
Basically, if the corner have the boundary line, the LDA system will against you a bit when you turn-in. I put the function under warning only, by that way the Eyesight LDA system didn't inject steering info to system. Makes car feel a bit more nimble and consist. Though it still on the comfortable side. @@italyonedaysoon3224
@@italyonedaysoon3224 24’ Legacy sport w 2.3k miles. I’m pretty sure he means Lane Detection System..? I had a 2023 Impreza sport Sedan and when I turned off all safety features and would do donuts in the snow it would throw my car in vehicle dynamics mode. I haven’t tested it in my legacy but I’m guessing it should handle better when I’m full dynamic mode
The pricing on this car is difficult to beat. On the lower trims, you're getting a mid-size car with all the safety features plus all wheel drive for about the price of a compact car like a Civic or a Corolla.
Oh, the 2024 Subaru Legacy Sport! That's a great choice, my friend. The Legacy Sport offers a perfect blend of style, performance, and comfort. With its sleek design and sporty features, it's sure to turn heads on the road. Not to mention, Subaru is known for its reliability and durability, so you can trust that the Legacy Sport will be a dependable companion. Whether you're cruising on the highway or navigating through challenging terrain, this car has got you covered. Enjoy the ride and all the adventures that await you in your new Subaru Legacy Sport! 🚗💨
i own a 2018 limited legacy. i would never buy another ICE legacy again, because of the substandard CVT and ive had nothing but issues from day 1. That being said, all my issues were fixed under warranty and while i love the luxury features (heated rear seats, rear vents, hill descent control), phenomenal AWD and excellent mileage (avg 29-30). but I'm not going to hang on to it after 95000 miles. but i will definitely consider a hybrid with eCVT should Subaru offer one or a EV sedan like the legacy
@@Gimli8621 Glad to hear it 👍 and happy the car worked out for you. my Subaru gold plus extended warranty has more than paid for itself. i am currently at 78000 miles and i hope i don't face another major issue though it will be covered. that being said, i love the car when it works and especially in the snow/ heavy rain plus it has many positives. i read a post where a user has a 2018 3.6R Limited that has 264000 miles so far (50,000 miles a year, mostly highway 😳). he said, he has done 4 CVT flushes, replaced a bearing (apart from usual tires/ brakes), the infotainment system was replaced under original warranty but no other issues with the car 😁. So this story gives me hope, my only concern right now is the CVT though i am due for a fluid replacement and i will see how the car holds up and what Subaru offers in the future. thanks for your response
It has six HVAC physical buttons, do those not count? Fan speed, seat heaters and AC are always present with just a tap or two at the bottom of the screen on big buttons. All other settings are just a tap away with clear graphics and fat finger sized inputs. Or just put in Auto. It’s a non-issue.
For Reference, a 60k Lexus IS350 AWD goes 0-60 in like 5.8 Seconds. This car is what 37k, for a 6.1 second, AWD all the time vehicle? (Not as needed during slip, 4 wheels spinning all the time). Hey Just saying. Simple Wheel change, drastically changes cars, and so do Brake Pads.
@GreatGrandmasterWang Precisely. The legacy is a comfortable cruiser that matches offering a nice felt ride along with true awd (meaning power to all 4 wheels all the time, Even in the Event of a Electronic related code), with just as much get-up and go, as that of a car of more price. Meaning you arent losing anything just because you are paying a lower price.
If I had to guess, the Legacy Sport wasn’t selling as well as they thought so Subaru decided to include the HK sound system as standard for the type to hopefully entice those to the model.
Good job as always. Question: how was the infotainment system performance? And is it awkward using the climate control & other important functions thru that system? I think the styling of this Legacy is one of the PLUSES for it in this segment, not an Air Ball; it's not overly styled with lines going all different ways & crazy gimmicks and such (I'm looking at you, Camry, Accord & Sonata). I think I'd like this Legacy even better as a wagon; that would give improved cargo space. Thanks, brothers!
I have an Outback with this system. When you first start the car, the screen is slow. However... How often are you changing the climate controls? Don't most people just leave it on Auto at their favorite temperature? I have 20,000 miles on mine, and I think I've had to open the full climate control panel 3 times? It's honestly not an issue at all in my experience. Is the screen occasionally slow? Yes. Can it do an amazing amount of things? Yes! Does it look pretty good? Yes, especially if you keep a soft cloth handy to keep dust and fingerprints to a minimum... Personally, I love the screen and it's benefits, even with the occasionally slow responses.
I've owned 5 Subies, 4 Outbacks and a Crosstrek [ My favorite], great cars, however they had one thing in common; ugly uni-directional wheels, they are real put-offs for many people and I am one of them. Attention Subaru designers please come up with a pleasing non-unidirectional design next year and I may give up my Mazda and come back to you.
Why would anyone hate Subaru designs though? I never understood it. There are so many ugly cars out there, and people hate on the conservative Subaru. Subaru actually makes the best looking cars out there.
Any significant Subaru owner likes how Subarus are already. And what goes along with that is the fact that they don’t change much throughout years, that’s the reason why people like them, simple and never have drastic changes. No one that actually knows anything abt anything has complained abt Subarus interior. People just like complaining about literally anything.
@@realfeels8827Spot on. Subaru sells well because they are simple honest to God machines that get the job done. They’re also oddball cars with the boxer engines and AWD. Great cars that have limited their competition by going niche.
I can confirm that Subaru absolutely provides complimentary maintenance regionally. My Subaru has the “Maintain the Love” campaign for 2 years and 24k miles in Texas.
Same here. Also in Texas. Just bought our second Subaru & both times the dealer offered 2 years/24K miles free oil changes & tire rotation. Must be a dealer/regional thing.
It seems like a good value in base trim at $26k, but I just don't find it all that appealing compared to the competition. Subaru really needs to hire better designers. They've struggled to make good-looking vehicles for a long time.
It has a big grill and traditional sedan rear tail design not much different than the competition....what exactly is wrong with the design?? You make no sense
@@truckercowboyed2638 You need to check out the competition. Even the always stale-looking Camry looks better than this for 2025. This Legacy manages to be both bland and ugly.
It still bugs me that they put that plastic filler cheat trim piece behind the abrupt back door window cutoff instead of a proper Hofmeister kink in the C pillar!
2018, I really really wanted this Legacy but what stopped me was the fact that it didn’t come in a 6 speed manual. Got the 2.0t Accord instead. But if they ever make these in manual, I’d get one.
@@economiccrisis9267 exactly. That’s why it’s been discontinued. Impreza has been a long time Subaru model. Folks are a bit nostalgic for it, but in return won’t buy it.
Why don’t they just put a proper automatic transmission in this car? I would never buy it regardless of any other attributes it may have as the CVT is a deal breaker for me.
@@haroldbeauchamp3770 , well that may be the case but I think it’s a dumb move and apparently so does the buying public as this vehicle can’t compete with its main rivals; the Honda Accord and Toyota Camry and has just been cancelled by Subaru.
@@sachemrock you’re thinking from a very narrow lens. Subaru chose not to invest in the Legacy because sedans are dying. Less than 3 out of 10 vehicles sold are sedans. Subaru is choosing to invest in vehicles that are profitable and protects their shareholders. Eliminating a poor selling vehicle and investing that money in a high volume model is much more profitable for Subaru. Subaru knows that 7 out of 10 buyers want a truck or an suv. This move was expected from both buyers and shareholders. The Camry and Accord sales are bolstered heavily with fleet sales that are not profitable for manufacturers. I’m sure Toyota and Honda are playing the long game in hopes sedans make a comeback. However, this could take generations to happen.
