This is my top speed for the Suzuki GSX-8R A2. So it is restricted to 35kW / 48 hp. Rider weight; a little over 100 kg without riding gear.

Those bigger engines are a bit slower than say true ~35kW bikes. But they do have more torque in the overall range. Still a great bike for the A2 license. If you have enough money.

@@MotoSnax If you buy it with a perspective to upgrade it to 98hp later it's an acceptable limitation I would say. I would not buy it to remain on A2 forever 🙂 Then there are better and cheaper options. But still... 171 gps speed is impressive being choked down to 48hp ✌

Full power is 83 hp, but yes. The limitation is fine for 2 years. After that you will be very happy once you have all the torque and hp. You don't want this forever remaining on A2, correct. 😁

What top speed does the restricted 48 hp Hornet 750 do? I don't expect it to go much faster. I can't find any A2 48 hp top speed video of the Hornet 750 and I don't test ride Honda anymore.

It is restricted. Full power it is a lot faster. Most of the time thos bigger restricted bikes don't run that fast for top speed but they do pull hard when riding around. More torque than bikes that are 35kW from itself.

Pretty sure a stock ninja 250 is faster ....engines don't like being limited they don't run right especially something that big

NInja 250 feels like a snail compared to this. The torque is so much higher. It pulls a lot faster.

@@MotoSnax i mean I'm sure it does just didn't seem like it also 48hp vs 34hp I'm sure the gsx8r weights more and i also have done work to my ninja 250 so it's only 300lbs wet and has a k&n air and oil filter

The Ninja 250 might have a higher top speed, but the GSX-8R will overall pull faster because it has 290% more torque (restricted). Also rides on the highway are more comfortable because of the bigger displacement. The engine won't mind, you just don't get all the torque and power. After 2 years you remove the restriction in a matter of minutes. Different ECU mapping.
