The wipers can also be activated by pressing the button at the tip of the left stalk. This should also bring up the menu that’ll allow for wiper speed selection. Long pressing the same button also does a windshield wash (spray) and wipe. Good review overall!

Nice review brother. You’ve opened my eyes to Tesla’s limitations in the Philippines. While Tesla is great here in the US and until Tesla integrates their cars in the Philippines, it wouldn’t be practical really for Filipinos to use it. A lot of the features are really useful for the Philippines ie GPS, self driving, Philippine apps, supercharging network, service centers etc.. again until Tesla establishes their support in the country it won’t be used at its full potential. I wish you could add more context as to why that is and if government has to do something about it or if Tesla just refuse to provide to our beloved country.

I suspect when Tesla comes to the Philippines officially, we will have no issues with the apps, they sell Chinese-made Tesla's in the UK and other parts of Europe that have the correct apps for their country.

Agree. When Tesla officially markets their cars here, it will be configured for the PH market will all the niceties and standards that Philippine-spec cars sold here all have. It's just a matter of when. Also, Tesla absolutely has to populate their Supercharger network here to make it all work.

Buy Tesla wall charger. It takes 3 hours from 0% to 100%. You can charge everyday 100% but use 10% so that 90% left. Hindi yan masisira yun battery 🔋. Your country has 220 volt no problem. Don’t go below 20% battery 🪫 6. Auto open & close charging port no need manually. 7. Tire 🛞 you can put all 255 R 19 so that your performance will increase miles range. 8. Caco, that is not an “infotainment screen” - that is actually a computer tablet. Once you’ve personalized the seat position, side mirrors, etc., in the settings, you won’t have to bother tapping onto the tablet while driving. Also, almost all the controls are accessible by voice command. Opening/Closing the frunk, trunk, charging port, etc., can now be controlled by your Apple Watch. Charging. Home charging is the main solution. You only really need Supercharging stations if you’re on long road trips. Like LA to SanFo/Vegas. It is a fun car to drive! Not going back to ICE.

@@AJRV1-lc5wz - I totally disagree, I drove a Prius for 5 years sold it and now a 2018 Tesla M3 dual motor and I have to say Tesla EV is way way better. Maybe if it was a different EV car but if you get a Tesla then I'm sure you'll change your mind. My question is , did you ever own a Tesla ( or any EV)? Because if you didn't own an EV then it's just your opinion without any comparison. I will never go back to an ICE/hybrid car ever.

Caco needs to research more on Tesla. When they officially come to shore, I am curious if they could connect to the newly developed mobile Starlink for cars. One feature from Tesla cars that seem not available to other manufacturers is the Sentry mode. Great protection against burglars and envious key scratchers. But the model that is actually made for bad Philippine roads is the Cybertruck. Now, that is my dream car.

Love my ‘23 Y. Good review. Is it worth getting it in the Philippines NO, unless you just want to get a unique EV brand like a Tesla. City driving would be fine. But without that charging infrastructure you’ll be missing out a lot to which this car was designed for. The model difference between a standard and performance is physically cometic. You can pay for the boost update on the standard. The OTA software updates/upgrades are gold standard. However the flagships Plaid are a different ball game altogether. Let’s not forget they cost a lot have it service in an accident and insurance. Often times you’ll see a minor crash and they will deemed this totaled. They are built differently from ICE cars.

Problem with Philippines is that anything new is overpriced and heavily taxed to the point only super rich people can afford it. It just doesn’t make sense as minimum wage is what 600 peso per day but a Kenny Rodger’s burger costs 250 peso. Vs in the USA a burger still costs $5 but people make $20 an hour. In the USA tvs, ps5, gaming laptops and IPhones sell for 1/2 cost. So what’s happening? It’s hard enough that the wage is so low. But to over price everything seems unbelievable 😮

Hey Buddy that's a pretty good review. If possible down the road...update the comments about YOUR Tesla. Curious how it handles any flooding there. Example: Able to navigate with no noticeable issues with water height of 8 inches as an example; or you had a friend who purchased a Tesla and it is not functional anymore due to central control head unit not operable? or maybe like If you have to take the Tesla in for maintenance is there a dedicated Tesla service or certified shop there to work on it? Or any rebates or tax credits in the Philippines there as there was here in the United States? How about if the Tesla Breakdown and it has to be towed to a auto-shop, do you have a local transport that has the ability to put it on the truck bed so that ALL the wheels are off the ground? Never drove a Telsa..but I am curious about what peoples experiences are and not some generic Tesla commercial. But you hit it on the mark at 23:15 and so for you? Since you are one of the few that has a Tesla. Did YOU have a charging station or should I say besides a level 1 charger installed in your home for your Tesla? I see you drove it out in the country, have you driven your Tesla in a really urban and crowded environment like in the middle of Manila in the middle of the day? Again..just curious, what people encounter in a different country besides the USA. Thank you.

You can pretty much do everything with voice activation diminishing the need for buttons. It takes getting used to, but the future is very user friendly. Counter point to your steering adjustment: you do it once, and it saves it to your individual profile; set it and forget it. Meanwhile you can bind controls to everything using those dials: wiper speed, voice activation, volume, speed adjustments, lights. The way you made it seem is those buttons don't serve a purpose until you're in the menu, which is disappointing from the potential consumers that rely on reviews.

There are charging stations, specifically that of Shell where the attendants will not allow you to use your adapter, since they use a CCS2 for DC charging or a type 2 for level 2 charging. But still an excellent review. I was looking for a DC GB/T adapter but it costs around 1,300 USD in eBay. PH is not yet ready for Tesla or any full EV. Hybrid yes. Less charging hubs, no available fast charger yet, high electricity price.

If you could afford a Tesla, you could also afford installing a solar system in your home. A 40 KVA system could help charge a Tesla in 10-12 hours with the right charging system.

its like having a mobile phone and the technology that the smart phone has but in a place that has no signal. technology doesnt match with whats happening on the ground. or having a ref and led tv but in a place that has frequent power outages.

Infotainment is indeed a problem as of the moment but I think when Elon decided to do it that way Id assume he was thinking ahead, cuz as futuristic tesla maybe, its meant for the new generation, your kids who is already acostumed to the fact that technology and screens of mobile phones is already ingraved in their lifestyles that it wouldn't be a problem for them when the time comes that they'll drive their very own tesla's. And one more thing tesla is ready for the philipinnes but the philippines is not ready for tesla, we're just too far behind.

Oh man. I wouldn’t get a Tesla or any EV in the Philippines just yet. First, the infrastructure is non-existent or is few and far between. Secondly, the utility providers have very unreliable service. If your power keeps going dark, it could potentially ruin your system. Thirdly, the roads are flooded during typhoon season. You can wreck your 4.5 million peso car that quick.. and the insurance is probably nonexistent as well since it’s very expensive to repair a Tesla. Basically, until all of these have been resolved, then feel free to burn that money. Otherwise, you’re better off getting an ICE car that’s a 4 wheel drive.

Be careful on buying tesla’s on third party dealers. Most of them got totaled in North america that was just salvaged and refubished. Do your own research and check out the history of the vehicle.

No, just push the charge port cover down to close it.

Since Caco is sick, couldn't Jack do the review instead? Just a thought 😂. The infotainment app dilemma could have a work around if you know where to look. There are many Tesla tinkers in the web today that have reprogrammed the infotainment how they want it to be, albeit you cannot update it for future firmwares. However, I can't say for sure since the Infotainment that were tinkered were models produced from the Fremont, CA and Austin, TX.

Love the review, but reviewing a Tesla only as an ELECTRIC CAR is half the story. When you fully utilize the FSD(with AI Assist and on-board supercomputer), this is where you will see how Tesla is years ahead of other car companies. You will find out that Tesla holds the future of transportation. I was never a fan of electric cars, but driving my Tesla MY Performance with FSD for a year now is like having a personal driver (which I am used to having in the Philippines). Takes the pain of 40-mile daily commute to work. You always make good reviews and more power!
