This is the nastiest, wettest criterium race I've ever done. We spent 3 days racing our bikes up at the Tour de Bloom in Wenatchee, WA near Seattle. This full race is from the Category 2/3 Field which was directly in the middle of an absolute downpour.
I'm not the biggest on racing in the rain, and this particular crit course was very unique with a hill and a set of cobbles. It raced extremely fast in the rain averaging 28mph. I'll upload the commentary video and breakdown and explain why I exploded on the last lap after being in a really good position with two to go later this week.
Special shout out to Tour de Bloom for hosting this bike race in 2024. It was an absolute blast traveling to a national level stage race and battling with serious talent out of the Pacific Northwest and Canada.
