color is certainly subjective but I had a 4Runner this color back in the 90's and I had 4 different significant accidents over a 2 year period. T-boned once, rear-ended 3 times and the last one totaled it. I'm convinced part of the reason is the silver/gray color blends into the background and just doesn't stand out to other drivers
@@westcoast708that’s fine that’s your opinion but , 4Runners last forever there not the fastest vehicle but me as a mechanic for 30 years it’s one of the most reliable suv ever built body on frame there built like Tanks only time I see this truck in is for oil changes not Chevy, fords dodge most of those suv are pure garbage built in Japan with pride here we lost that except for are Military vehicles or maybe Boeing 🤷♂️
I believe you test drove the standard TRD Off Road. The TRD Off Road PREMIUM is equipped with a few extras that your unit did not come with. I have a 2023 Premium and love it-I hope to own it for at least 300,000 miles with very few issues except regular maintenance/oil change/tire rotation etc...when the country goes to hell in a handbasket this 4Runner is the vehicle to have.
Do a review of the Tacoma. It’s the last year the Tacoma will have the V6. Toyota is only putting 4cyl in the Tacoma going forward. Horrible decision Toyota!!!
I have a 2023 Limited and knew exactly what I was purchasing, a well built reliable vehicle that will last me over well 10 years Let's see in the next 5 to 10 years how the Durango and others compare
You don’t understand how 4 Runners and made to say corners were cut - it’s one of the best put together vehicles on the planet hence why then last 20 years. Of course these care reviews have a lot of subjective opinions and miss the objective points the drive the vertices value.
New Year's Eve 2023 bought a 2024 4Runner TRD Pro... in Ice Cap... (Classic color, other drivers see me better/sooner, to avoid collisions) Only 2 factory options available: 1. Sliding Rear Cargo Tray (will reduce cargo room height) 2. Running Boards (will install Westcott Designs rock sliders) I Don't want/need these factory options US$64,915.31 Out The Door... Top of the Line, Off Road/Overland capable, absolutely perfect for any Environment, Terrain that I will encounter in North America... Poor Gas Mileage??? Compared to what? Toyota Prius, Best 56mpg/EPA? Bugatti Chiron, worst 10mpg/EPA? Dodge Challenger SRT Jailbreak, 15mpg/ERA? Those vehicles CANNOT GO WHERE I CAN GO...!!! Hey... Stupee! We don't Buy 4Runners for MPG...!!! We Buy for 1. Reliability 2. Capability We don't Lease and Trade In every 3 years! I bought the LAST YEAR of the 5th Generation... the last NA V6! 2025 6th Gen will only be 2.0L 4 cylinder Turbo Hybrid... Scientific/Engineering Fact: Turbo equals greater engine stress and wear, (metal fatigue) on parts, not to mention the constant turbo whine and heat stress issues; ALSO... Electricity and Water Don't Mix!!! Try crossing deep water in a Prius... even snorkel equiped...! Hah!!! Your gonna get water in that electrical engine!!! All this proves that 6th Gen is Probably RELIABLE... BUT 5TH GEN IS MORE, MUCH MORE RELIABLE...! Hey Stupee👋 learn some more about what your taking about or keep your Mouth SHUT...!!! Need to be honest with yourself when it comes to the 4Runner. If you’re really going to use it for its utility and off-road capability it can’t be beat. If you’re going to be doing a good or strong amount of highway type driving with it, you’re likely to not be happy. This is what prompted me to trade in my ‘16 Trail w/KDSS for a ‘19 Outback 6 cyl. Never regretted it for a second.
