As a Fil-Am and currently residing in the USA, it makes me hopeful for the future of golf in the Philippines. At the biggest stage of amateur golf, Rianne proved to the world that with hard work and surrounded by loving and supportive family and friends, anything is possible. I hope she gets the proper reception and recognition in her country when she returns to the Philippines.
Congrats Rianne. So proud of you. I was watching golf in the Olympics and wondering why we only had 2 players while Thailand had so many. Now I feel so much better. Looking forwards to see you in LA2028
I agree but at the same time we're at the mercy of them because we missed the event. With that said, they should have the thumbnail as BOTH players for the first week then after that change to the champion. This should be commonplace across all platforms for all sports.
I hope current and future golfers from the Philippines competing in a very high level of competition get all the support from the government. Not having the proper uniform during the Paris Olympic is not a good example.
@@edieiyon There is nothing political in supporting our athletes representing the Philippines. This is at least what the government can do for them. Mabuhay Philippines!
@@danaltima6669 hindi ito yung forum for you to bring up those grievances.......pati shortcoming ng Gobyerno bino broadcast mo pa sa buong mundo.....kahihiyan ng Gobyerno.....kahihiyan mo din.....pilipino ka.
It seemed like asterisk, as good as she played? Couldnt hit fairways...had a two way miss right and left, and malixi hit a ton more fairways. The one in the fairway is gonna shoot better than the one in the rough 9/10 times. Wonderful play from both! Truly the future of the sport. Will be fun to watch once theyre on tour! Congrats Rianne! For the womens am and the girls am!
@ 3:00 minute mark, Tally literally stood ten feet right in front of Malixi's view while she was chipping was a low move, unsportsmanship, no surprise Malixi came out as the Champion. Congratulations to Rianne Malixi of the Philippines, you're way better than your opponent!
