Great details, watched a bikeradar video yesterday I think, that covered best aero, angled up TT bars were better than lower and more comfortable. Best of luck in your race.

I did same thing with my aerobars. Higher and elbow pads out wider for comfort. Nice custom build!

Nice ride and excellent drivetrain upgrade. I wish Shimano would recognize needs of the everyman with actual wide-range drivetrains!

Agreed. Talked to a local ex-pro friend that has been testing the 12 GRX. They gave Shimano the same feedback and were told that Shimano doesn't believe they can retain the shift quality with that wide range. But if I can build a sweet functioning mullet by just adding the Wolftooth link, I'm sure they can do better.

@@emilioc700 We all know they can. What was cross-chaining with 3x8 vs 1x12? Give a micro increase between the cogs, same with the rings, larger cage, and with Di advantages, should be able to achieve what we all want… increased range, not more expensive versions of the same range we’ve lived with since 22/32/42 and a 28-32 cassette!

@@Nickregier Found a crack on the frame yesterday, took the bike apart and its getting repaired. Damage from airlines handling (: It'll be a few weeks.

forgot to mention the Wolftooth roadlink, so the rear mech can in fact handle the 42 cassette :)

@@emilioc700 I mean, if you have the cash to replace it then yeah for sure. But I saw a lot of people who’s frames were damaged beyond repair at the last event.
