Tiguan is a compact car, a Touareg would be too small for the price point. Americans don't want to spend Mercedes money on a VW since they usually pay for everything with banks money, Europeans mostly pay with cash for cars privately and appreciate value a 100-140k VW has and don't mind the badge.@@dRoseaK
Really? I’ve considered vw to be a bad buy considering the lawsuits against them. I was in the market for an atlas a few years ago but went in a different direction after research
@@hhova29Well they manipulated the emissions - like most car companies. But it has nothing to do with reliability, quality or else. And it has been many years since then so I wouldn’t worry.
@@hhova29the lawsuit was because VW managed to trick US quality control using software and hardware to manipulate emissions😆 very ballsy, I like how they went under the radar for so long. But reliability-wise, they’re improving tremendously. Parts and labor will be expensive nevertheless (because Audi and/or European complexity BS - claim mechanics).
But I don't think it will be available for the U.S. You have the Atlas and there were too many complaints about it being too Expensive. Same goes for the New Tiguan 3 that will make it's presentation this fall for 2024. We will see what happens.
I wish we still got this in North America. VW took it out of our market years ago because it was getting too expensive and competing too much with Audi. I'd definitely take this over a Q7! They then made the cheaper (in price and definitely quality) Atlas for us. I never liked it.
Looks nice. Let’s hope they’ve improved the thickness on the interior plastics back to older models standards as their current range feels and looks cheap and nasty.
Owned a 2004 Touareg V8. Unfortunately, it was bad the first couple of years of the Touareg was bad, traded the Touareg for an MK4 R32. Wish VW brought the R50 to the state's, but per usual, the dummies didn't. VW took the Touareg of the American market at the time when they look awesome. Sad really on why they never bring the nice VW to the state's. This Touareg is gorgeous! Long live the awesome music 🎶 from the VR6!
Why did they change the design of the new Tiguan so much so that it looks like the Toyota Rav 4, Mitsubishi Outlander 2015 !!! And the design of the Tuareg 2024 was left the same and upgraded to Audi Q 8 :-( ?
Another suv for the on road shopping trolley crew. If VW want to justify their prices at least option diff lock centre and rear and a low range transfer case. In fact I would rather buy a R50 with under 80thou kms than an Rline for that reason.
Touareg is definitely one of the best SUV vehicle, but multimedia, especially cameras are still lagging, not smooth. Look at chinese cars for example Haval Dargo it has much better cameras and quite quick reaction on display. How come? German engineering?
Base price 80K, for a shit-tier SUV... in 2024 how can they promote that laggy-ass multimedia. They just have no shame shitting on the people that will give them their money. This is a "when you buy a Mercedes from wish" meme.
GOSH that lightbar in the front looks so fucking cheap... why would anybody do that ? Plus stitched plastics everywhere... like why pretend its leather if its not ? And fake carbon on the SEATS ? o boy
The Volkswagen Touareg 2024 prices range from $89,240 for the basic trim level SUV Touareg 170TDI to $117,540 for the top of the range SUV Touareg 210TDI R-Line.
It's just a toureg...nothing special. Whats going on here with the drama? They used to only feature high end stuff but now even a bog standard vw is out if this world amazing 😢
