​@@DRTerabyte Yes, but this is the fastest Mode in Lr. Performance has Sport instead. There is only a Chill Mode but it's more if you have people which get sick in cars, it doesn't consume less if you're gently on the Pedal. Tesla is all about Drive. If you put the Volvo in Normal Mode it has no Awd since it opens a clutch and than it's way slower, in Sport it drives always Awd and consumes much more energy although it reacts slower than Tesla in it's everyday Mode. Nevertheless, remarkable Performance of the Volvo, it holds it's Power even at high Speeds.

Well, first of all, the Comfort mode is for steering. Second, where have you seen the prev gen M3 time? Was is the same track, same conditions (here it is wet), etc.

@@razvancalin6453 The specs in the video are wrong, the Tesla has 394 hp, not 498. The Volvo has the hp advantage, but it performs very well.

@@tbnzet The Long Range specs are the ones given in the video. This isn't the single-motor variant - that has 394 hp. the dual-motor, AWD Model 3 LR has 366 kW - that's 498 hp (491 bhp).

Unfortunately it just looks like you’ve deliberately chosen the non performance Tesla to go against the Performance Volvo so it artificially makes the Volvo appear better than it is. Although I would say it looks like a great Volvo and impressive performance all the same. 👍🏻 Only fair drag race would be a Model 3 Performance against the Volvo or perhaps even a Model Y Performance as the XC30 is a SUV type of vehicle. I think everyone already knows a Tesla Model 3 Performance would win no problem and once they hit the streets in April a new ‘Highland’ Model 3 Performance (Ludicrous) it would just be hilarious how slow the Volvo would appear. 🤷🏼‍♂️ 🤪

@@opc1731 No that will not come, because the Performance literally has a more powerful physical motor in the back. And therefore there is no boost available.

​​@@HermanWillems Boost was always only on Front Motor. I misbelieved that also. I have a Model Y with Acceleration Boost and the Rear Motor didn't change on Power Output, all the Extra Power comes from the Front. I can see that with Scan My Tesla. Nevertheless, car feels more Rear Powered in Corners, i guess Boost also changes a little bit in that.

I have COC list from new model 3 Long range which is needed for registration. Front motor has 158 kW and the rear 208 kW.

80's Volvo's are absolute tanks, unfortunately they sold off to China, now it's only the badge, could potentially still be good but no way as good as the original over engineered cars that last forever..

Volvos, yes...some are built in China but many are built in the US and still in Europe. The new Shexing battery technology in China will help Volvo.

​@@edrivesweden Yes, the EV Database has an error. Carwow probably got their info from there. There is some confusion about the hp figure, probably because Tesla doesn't provide an official figure. But considering the official acceleration time it's clear the car doesn't have close to 500 hp. If it did, Tesla would have listed the official acceleration time as similar to the previous Performance model. Instead the 2024 Long Range has a similar acceleration figure as the previous Long Range model, also with around 400 hp. Some hp figures for the 2024 Model 3 Long Range: MotorTrend states 394 hp. Driving states 384 hp. TopSpeed states 394 hp. CarBuzz states 393 hp. I've also seen 425 hp stated. If you could race the previous Performance model with around 500 hp against the 2024 Long Range, the difference should be pretty clear.

​@@edrivesweden It would be fair and show integrity if you changed the title of this video to not say 498 hp for the Model 3 LR, as this is misleading. It could make people think the Model 3 underperforms. Tesla has made no official hp claim, so better to say e.g. "unknown hp" (or e.g. "390+ hp" if you want a number). The only claim of performance Tesla has made for the Model 3 LR is 0-100 km/h in 4.4 s. Volvo claims 0-100 km/h in 3.6 s. Those official claims match your result quite well.

Well my truck is slow off the line and gets up to speed just fine but sometimes it’s hard to know how fast your going in an EV because the connection isn’t the same like an ice engine. I am a fan of the Hyundai Ioniq 5 N because of the simulated engine rev sound. I think this will help drivers.

Happy to lend you my car :) 0-100 the Taycan rwd feels like it’s not giving you full power. After 80/100kmh it speeds up and at 130, when it shifts into 2nd gear, it really goes. My buddy has the old Model 3 LR with performance boost. He’s WAY faster to 100, but 120-230 is pretty much the same. (This is without launch control.. Taycan has more power with launch control.

Tesla Sweden only have Model 3 long range as press car at this moment. But waiting for more cars to arrive. There will be a new race when the M3 performance versionen arrives or if they get an Y performance. :)
