I bought a 2024 s60 back in April and it’s the best daily driver I’ve ever had. It’s such a nice car and a car that requires so little effort to operate. It’s a very relaxing daily.
Such a nice and clean looking car inside and out. Its not over the top with vents, grills and unnecessary weird body lines. Its like an older car that is fully modern. Even though the interior is mostly black, there's just enough contrast with the aluminum/grey plastic bits. I think adding Emily on these reviews are great too. You're dragging her further into the car world 😂

I reeeally wish more people would option the bowers and Wilkins system so there would be more on the used market. Right now i can't find a single S60 that has it. I've only seen it on a handful of S90's.
I like the vertical screen. It's more practical and easy to reach. It's even integrated into the dash, which I know a lot of people like. It's also more up-to-date than Lexus infotainments. Right now, Lexus software is really old, same with Toyota. Actually, it seems like the new Camry is finally getting the update all their cars need across both Toyota and Lexus. I have a pretty standard 16:9 screen retrofitted in my 08 civic and I will say that using a horizontal screen is kind of a pain compared to the vertical ones, since they are usually further away on top of the dash. They also don't look as clean to be honest.

i stayed back home in SoCal for winter break and also didnt expect it to rain for the majority of it lol, good to see that yall had a fun time during ur time out here tho! the s60's gotta be one of the best cars to have on loan for a week in cali
I appreciate the report, I am surprised no one illustrated the turning radius of the S60, did you try to make u turn? we currently have a 2018 S60 18,500 miles and my 2014 Corvette 12,500 miles. We saw a 2024 T8 Ultimate with 2,000 miles for $52,000 and we can get 37,400 and 20,000 in trade, 57,400 = 5,000 back. Would you think for a 75 Year old couple settling on ONE car this S60 AWD T8 Ultimate may be the best choice???
What was y’all’s range (distance to empty) while driving this? Always been curious and wish car reviewers would say what their full range that they start with is and where it ends and goes down to.
I have a 2019 S60 T5- been hoping to find something sportier to replace it with some oomph like an M340i or C43. But then I see videos of this recharge and am torn 😢. Would love a Polestar Engineered but they’re extremely rare. As someone who doesn’t have a good charging situation at their apartment, would you say the T8 is still a livable vehicle?
When you said LAX, I'm assuming this is a rental? Which rental company had this S60? I'm picking up a car in March and something like this would be awesome :)
I’ve always loved Volvos, especially driving them. Comfortable, solid, and safe. It was the poor reliability over the last 20 years which swayed me away.
Curious if that screen is off the shelf part that auto makers can just plug and play for their use case. I have the 23 WRX that has this screen and I haven't had an issue with it yet. Subaru just released and update for it that makes the heated seats a one button operation with no more menu diving. The worst system I have used is in my wife's 18 Honda Pilot. That is buggy crap.@@justsahar1253
Love the look of Volvos but keep hearing how unreliable they are, have seen top 10 most unreliable lists where the XC90 is usually on them. I think the XC90 is going be of the most beautiful SUV’S out there but would be hesitant to buy one.
made it almost 5 minutes into that video before I had to stop, the stupidity... sorry... The "charge the car with gas" idea is to use an engine that is already running on a road and it is not very effective there. Having the car in a parking lot with the engine on goes against everything Volvo and also Plug-In cars stand for. California has the highest density in charging stations in the US, perhaps in the world - find a charger or at least turn off the gas engine while doing your video... that really pains me.
overpriced, overdated and small car for a family. I really don"t understand why some ppl pay the price of a bigger and most modern car for this old chinese thing.
@@petitflocon647 big enough for the family, reliable, good looking, 2025 got new tech (touchscreen for example), 355hp. Downsides: mpg, price, depreciation rate
