My immediate thought was that the shade from 2012 looks better but if this darker shade is closer to the ‘89 version, that’s what I’d want. And I prefer the Nike Air on the back. Love the shape on these. Thanks for the video!

Awesome video my brother✊🏽 the very first thing I noticed about these because their my favorite Jordan 4 of all time is the BLUE!.. it's definitely darker I can dig that but the 2012 version was something special 🔥 I'll be copping for me and my son🤙🏽2 pair for me cause i love em and 1 pair for my son because he's a child and lowkey doesn't give a shit lol

Facts all 4s prior to the fire reds were uncomfortable, heel tab used to get jammed scratching the ankle. Since the fire red they’ve been comfy and the sb and bred reimagined are super comfy

I’ve heard the SB4 changes that are going to be going forward on all 4’s are the shape rather than everything that was re-engineered on the sb4 (rubber back tab, removed mid foot air unit, etc). The biggest thing on sb4s and going forward is widening out by the pinky toe for more comfort. I’m told if you put your sb4 side by side with the new military blues, it’s got the same angle vs. all previous 4’s

One thing about the SB 4's, the TPU (the midsole foam) was definitely softer. The SB 4 is the most comfortable 4 I've ever owned. They def made changes. I hope they keep the softer TPU like on the SB 4

They did that with the Bred 4s that are coming out in a few weeks they're more comfortable than the previous 2019 pair.

if thats the case u might like those new Ishod 2 Sb's the air unit is actually built into the insole vs the midsole. So u get more board feel with skating and the air unit window on the Ishod is just for looks. The actual unit is attached to the insole it's a cool design tbh. I'm waiting for the orange pair to come out. @@stussy1993

So is the leather on those the cheap leather u get with the cheaper AF1? Cause it looks smooth almost looks synthetic tbh. If thats the case thats a big screw up on jordans part they need to do premium leather on all these joints not just select color-ways. The reimagined bred 4s look like they have better leather.

Had the 06 and 12s .. kinda wish I didn’t mess em all up .. the blue is way better, probably still grab these cause they’re my favorite / first shoe I was able to buy myself nd that got me into sneakers in 06.. only thing I don’t like is the sb shape .. on the reimagined breds idk they just feel super big and clunky when I wear em. Very good review also 👊🏼

These, the Olive 9’s and the Powder Blue 9’s (if they’re on point) are a must cop for me this year. If Nike/Jordan Brand are pretty much turning these into skate shoes, it don’t matter to me. Skaters back in the day used basketball shoes to skate in, so why not have the material, especially if it increases the quality and comfort? Retro J’s ain’t even made to hoop in anymore for the past decade anyway.

There’s more technology inside the shoe that makes the SB4 a skateboarding shoe. That’s where it matters, not the exterior design. But nice video! Both pairs are nice! But I think the candy coat is a bit harder to wear as the color is already not an easy color to make look great without looking corny as is.

The 2012 pair is way better looking imo, that blue really pops on them. The nubuck on toe box of 2024 pair doesn’t even match the rest of the grays on the shoe. The only good part is the “Nike Air” on the backtab. I’m disappointed tbh🤦‍♂️ I was hoping to cop the 2024 pair, but now I’ll probably skip on them, since I still have the 2012 pair on ice and another one in rotation that I only wore a few times. I believe the SB were shaped like the OG 4 and not that the Military 4 were shaped after the SB. Just my 2 cents.

6:00 it’s easy for them because skaters don’t like a lot in their shoes tech wise. Rubber cup soles with a zoom unit and plush insole and some suede on the upper for flicks has kept the sb dunk a fan favorite forever and these aren’t far from that. Also just need their laces to be far from the toe so they don’t tear when doing flip tricks and the paddings a no brainer and if I’m being honest these are more of a skate shoe than a basketball shoe today because ball kicks have went on the opposite direction being tech savy and super soft almost mushy foam midsoles that wouldn’t be great to skate in

Bro In your comparison videos please keep one shoe of the new and one shoe of the old next to each other for a certain length of the vid. We don’t get a good chance to see them both side by side properly bc for some reason u keep both shoes out of each. After examining them in person, the “white” leather isn’t actually white. You’ll see in person and it feels on the stiff side for me, almost a plastic feel to them. I prefer the leather on the Military Black 4’s and Reimaigined Bred 4’s. I’m disappointed with them but nevertheless to each their own✌️

Blue on 06 was not the same as 12...ot was darker but still not the color of the 24.. do u notice that the waffles and tag aren't the same color blue as the soles...I new the ogs were like that from what I could remember in 89 but felt like maybe I was trippin cause no way they would be different shades

These are reps. There are no "early retail" pairs out yet. If there are nobody has shown proof bt it's all good. This is how the shoe game works. Factory's make them based off latest info and creators review them. We should be used to it by now
