I just traded in my 2022 Tiguan for the 2024 Cross Sport SE w/ Tech package. I love it so far! I've only had it for 2 weeks though. I did buy the full extended warranty because of the CR low reliability rating. We'll see as time goes on.
Awesome review! I have a question though, do you think it will be reliable enough not to visit service centers for issues at least during general 3 years leasing period?
The problem with German products these days is: they are built to be disposable very soon post warranty period. German quality and reliability are relics of the past. Costs to purchase, operate, repairs, depreciate in 4 years have become prohibitive. Volkswagen is no longer the peoples car.
They will cost more in service or repair and if I was looking to buy, I would wait a couple years as any new updates to engine, tech , etc normally takes sometime to work out the kinks.
the interesting thing is that the VW Atlas is actually made for the U.S. market... it's not sold in Germany. I believe the Atlas is made in Mexico including engine and transmission?
