How can WNBA pick a 20 yr old from another country, yet women from the US have to be 22 yrs old to be eligible? That makes no sense

Edwards at six is interesting. I had her going fifth to Dallas because of her versatility and I would love to see her on the court with Satou, Burton, and Maddy but you bring up a valid point about them not needing another big. My question is what was your reason for Kitley falling to Indiana? Lastly Sherrod being paired up with Sykes would be fun to watch.

Hi, Hunter. I agree that Dallas will use their second first round pick on some sort of deferral selection, not so much because of roster crunch, but because their remaining cap space ($164,978) doesn't permit them to sign Stephanie Soares and both first round selections this year. A deferral pick won't count against this year's salary cap. I wonder if the Lynx will select the 5 foot, 5 and one-half inch Amoore. Generally, Reeve does not like small guards, even if she did select (and later cut) Crystal Dangerfield in the mid second round a few years back. If Sheldon and Edwards are both gone when they pick at 7, maybe they consider Angel Reese or Charisma Osborne, though it would really help if Paopao had not decided to return to South Carolina, or if Osborne's three-point shooting hadn't fallen off a cliff from when she started 20 of 36 from deep at the start of the year.

Bruh Angel Reese was the Women's NCAA MVP Last year and led her team to the elite 8 with an outstanding record this year, how is she your number 8th pick. It's obvious the top two players who have dominated the Womens NCAA league for the past two seasons are both number 1 and 2. I feel Indiana will no doubt pick Clarke, but the obvious pick at number 2 will be Reese based on how the Sparks has kept tabs on her. I think your picks is waayyyy off the mark.

I don't see the Mystics taking the forward from Connecticut, they acquired Queen Egbo from the Fever last season. and from what I hear she's killing it over seas; her offensive skill set has improved. Tayanna Jackson is a player to watch out for, her speed and quickness ( more like a guard than a forward/center ) at 6'6 is one of the rarest combinations I've ever seen.

This may be wishful thinking on my part (I'm a Lynx fan who would like to see the Lynx reunite Aaliyah Edwards with Dorka Juhasz), but is it possible that the Mystics select someone like Georgia Amoore as a PG prospect? They lost Natasha Cloud, who last year averaged 32.4 minutes per game at the 1 spot. That means that Atkins played an average of just 7.4 minutes at the point. While they did sign Julie Vanloo to a training camp contract, she has never played in the WNBA, and Washington seems to be very thin at the PG spot. In contrast, they reportedly signed Stefanie Dolson as a free agent, to add to Shakira Austin and Queen Egbo in the post. Are they going to have three players competing for minutes at a single spot, or might they be playing two of Dolson, Austin and Egbo together on the floor at the same time? Personally, I think that all three are centers, but both Egbo and Austin are listed as Forward/Centers on the Mystics website.

I think Kitley would fit nicely on the Dream. They don’t really have a center with that size and skill set

I would say 1. Clark 2. Brink 3. Cardoso 4. Reese 5. Jackson This is a marketing league and Brink and Reese will bring great attention, especially Reese and LAS suck anyway and will be on the hunt for Paige next year

I agree with the Sky taking Rickea at 3 over Cardoso especially if the draft plays out similar to this mock but if so I would take Kitley at 13 I believe her value as a center at 13 is much better than Cardoso at 3 especially with a talent like Rickea Jackson available there no way I'm passing on her at 3

Rickea Jackson is shooting 33% from 3 this year, 31% last year. Her shooting stroke is good, and she's big, so I think her shooting will improve in the W if she works at it. She's a good mid-range shooter, and a solid #3 pick. Pili could be great, but she is sooooo slow that it's a worry; she's the best boom or bust pick. If she can get herself to run up and down the court, she can be really good. If not, forget it, because she's a guard. Kitley is a much better prospect than Leger-Walker. Liz has flaws, but at 6'6" with a good shot, she can be useful. Leger-Walker is very slow and not much in transition, and can't defend. She's a late 2nd or 3rd rounder, destined for Australia or Europe. If she speeds up and gets in shape, maybe she'll come back to the WNBA; she is skilled. You could switch Fair or Sherrod with Leger-Walker. They have WNBA speed and dribbling, and decent shooting, along with some flaws. They could be the next Shey Peddy or Erica Wheeler.

Sky fan here. I'd take Cardoso over Jackson 4 upside but ion h8 the pick. Fascinated w/ who will be available @8. I think Reese will come out in next yrs draft. I'm intrigued by Pili cuz she could be a nice bench scorer for Chicago. Hunter I'm surprised Ayoka Lee didn't even make ur top 24, almost as much as u having Leger-Walker as a 1st rounder. Lee's knees are worrisome but she's talented, dominant @ times. Charlisse is up & down as a shooter, plus she's gonna be a redshirt player. We'll see how things shake out in April.

Love me some Nika. But she's not offensive minded enough. Sherrod will go before her. Like to see Edwards go to Minn. But Amoore is an excellent pick too. Angel Reese should stay and keep getting the NIL money. She will really struggle at the next level. Poor footwork and a terrible mid-range shot will hinder her chances. I could see Edwards going to LA also.

Knack of getting on the offensive and defensive glass, but extreme lack of finesse limits her offensive growth (Just like Faried). Aaliyah Edwards - Elton Brand. A strong workhorse on the post but must increase range and shot selection in order to translate in the modern WNBA game. JuJu Watkins - Baron Davis / Deron Williams. Extremely strong, balanced, body-controlled combo guard who can score in bunches. A floor general and leader. Hannah Hidalgo - Damon Stoudamire / Kelsey Plum - A mighty mouse with cat-like quickness, can get her jumper off anywhere. Quick penetration to the basket.

Sheldon and Jackson are overrated, and simply because you list someone as a center because that was their College position, doesn't mean that's the position they project to be in the WNBA.
