Hey boss, thank you for your amazing review. I just have a question, what's the main difference between this one and the Honda ADV 160 2025? I just don't see which one is more reliable and fuel efficient. Thanks for your help.
@@slowridersmotovlog201 Thank you for your quick response, also I forgot to mention. I do part time food delivery after work, I'm looking also for something lighter, so you that have both of them, which one is easier to get on and off multiple times. I'm 5'11 234 LBS. Thank you again.
I got tell folks..i strongly recommend changing oil least half the time Yamaha directs you to change it, if they say 4000 miles id do at least 2500 miles
Dealer fee's taxes and the sort, should never ever add more the 1800 to 2000 to a bike on high end and a good mark up is probably 1000 to 1200$ very rare to see fee's under 1000$ maybe if your a regular customer and got 850 credit score, interest rates are also rarely under 10% on a motorcycle from what I've seen
@@GasWorksISO $10k is absurd. Mine was just shy of $8500 out the door, after all the fees/taxes. Yamaha charges a $575 (iirc, bill isn’t in front of me) destination fee, which you’re gonna pay everywhere, so the base price is really $6775. My dealer had a $600 setup fee, which, feel free to have opinions on setup fees, but dealers all do it, and $600 is on the reasonable end of the spectrum as such things go, and then there is tax, title, registration, etc, which also can’t be avoided. TL/DR, I’d expect to pay between $8000 and $8500 at a dealer that isn’t getting greedy, depending on your state’s tax and registration fees (I live in one of the more expensive states, so I assume I’m on the high end of that).
I'm in Canada and received my '24 XMAX one week ago that I had ordered in late March. Canadian model only comes in Raven Black with blue wheels and is otherwise identical to the US model with the double instrumentation. I'm 5'-6 and the seat is too high for me and hard. In fact, it is higher than other bikes I had that had a similar stated seat height, including a Burgman 650. Fortunately, it is light and has the typical low center of gravity of a scooter. I put the windshield in the highest of its 2 positions to reduce turbulence at helmet level and put the rear shocks at the softest setting (I'm 160 pounds ready to ride). The proximity key is too much of a good thing and asks you to fiddle with the controller button for everything. Putting a key in the ignition is far simpler. The engine works well and is smooth and silent. In less than half a tank, I'm averaging 3.0L/100 km or 78 MPG US.
Update on my '24 XMAX 300. The windshield in indeed quite small but it clears all the bugs on my helmet when set at the highest of its 2 positions. I'm only 5'-6 and 160 lbs so bigger/taller riders might find it too small. On board computer has stabilized at 2.9L/100 km and calculated values sit between 2.82 and 2.86L/100 km which is right at the 100 MPG Imp or +/-82 MPG US. The bike also runs happily on Regular gasoline. The engine is smooth as glass and has good power for a 300cc motorcycle. It can tackle 2 lane roads easily at or above speed limits with good passing power when needed. Digital displays are good but a bit complicated to master which brings me to the smart key... I almost drained my battery for not deactivating the ignition correctly. One day, the voltage was showing - - - which was probably less than 12.0V. The bike started but I took no chance and recharged the battery which is a pain to get at and requires the front end of the bike to be removed. So when you either activate or deactivate the bike, there's no light flashing whatever to tell you it's done but just a very small red LED on the fob. Just make sure you get it right by pressing the invisible black button on the fob for more than a second.
These little scooters are great. I bought a 2006 Majesty 400 new still own it today and love it. If your thinking about buying one of these don't hesitate. It's just so much fun!
Yo danny boy...hows the display in the sunshine? Can u see it clearly?..looks sharp and the gray isnt bad but they have way better colors. I saw yellow checkered effect. Looked like something from the movie "tron".
I looked at it Saturday morning nice scooter. Decided to get the Zuma 125 for in town use. I have a retro modern bike for long trips makes me happy every time I get on it.
I like how high yamaha put the speedometer. You barely have to move your head to see the numbers especially with a full face helmet. I've seen Harleys with the speedometer down on the top of the gas tank. That must be really annoying, no wonder Harley riders don't wear helmets.
I’m going to receive mine tomorrow May 17th of 2024 here in Japan. The same color as yours but 250cc because the 300 is not commercialized. Thanks for the review!!! I’m more excited now than ever 🥳🥳🥳
"Drag your feet ". Not everyone has the money to buy such an expensive scooter. Perhaps you should have a contest giveaway, one of those beautiful scooters, Please. Thank you.
This is the XMax Tech Max version. The regular XMax is cheaper and has a single display on the dash, and less electronic features, like paid subscription Garmin nav.
@@1zanglangThere's a Blue Core sticker on the left and a windshield care sticker on the right. I'm not seeing what you're referring to, but this is how my bike is labeled as well.
Stay away not good it’s a nightmare I ride motorcycles and fix bikes almost 40 years that yamaha is the worse bike very expensive parts oil anything about it very dangerous even if you going slow very heavy very loud engine and you have to change oil really every 1000 miles,I’m so upset I lost money buying but it was totally mistake cheap made very disappointed you can’t even find parts and if you find very expensive oh I forgot many time I got stuck because the ignition system doesn’t work believe me that’s is a mistake made by Yamaha as much videos they make this bike isn’t good at all and if you think you can work on it ? Nooooooo just to change air filter you have to go through HELlL yes yes and spend mad gas more than a car really 😮😮😮 what? The ignition is one of the worse how many times I got stuck on the road I couldn’t even open it for gas that ignition supposed to control everything I couldn’t even open the seat oh my god yamaha dit it this to my pocket?
This comment sounds off for sure, folks reading this should do their due diligence, the things mentioned here are very subjective TO SAY THE LEAST..😅...PLEASE DO UR OWN RESEARCH, IN MY OPINION, ITS ONE BEST BIKES OUT THERE!!
