Nice, dosdude1 upgraded my 2020 M1 MacBook Air SSD from 256GB (2x 128GB NAND chips) to 2TB (2x 1TB NAND chips). Glad to read that this should be possible on an M3 as well! How do the 4TB and 8TB models function? Apple constrains those to Apple Silicon Pro and Max configurations I thought? Are there different density NAND chips, or the title just means that if you have a higher spec Apple Silicon Pro or Max laptop?
