00:00 some shots when it's the darkest; that is, around 1;05AM. Still some distant clouds above are deep purple, meaning they got direct sunlight
00:05 then, there was already a little (but not much) mist over the river but still not over the fields
00:43 at 1;43AM, that is, almost 40 minutes after the darkest point in night, it's somewhat brighter
00:51 and at 2;14AM, it's considerably brighter; now, much closer clouds are also directly lit by the Sun
01:26 it was around then that massive amounts of mist started to appear over the fields too
01:48 later, even more mist over the fields
02:19 continuing at Savonvirta bridge, just around sunrise (3;19AM). The Sun isn't directly visiible from the bridge as it's behind the trees / the hill in the North-East
02:47 massive mist over Matkusjoki (North)
03:50 and also to the South
04:42 a bird to the North
07:30 the upper parts of the hill to the West already got direct sunlit (around 3;30AM)
07:50 there was almost no traffic during the one hour I spent on the bridge; this truck was a food etc. delivery one for the K-Market at Sonkajärvi
08:52 ...and so did some clouds in the South...
09:33 at 3;41AM, the upper parts of nearby trees also started being directly lit
09:52 a zoomed-in (200mm) longer clip of the rising Sun, starting at 3;45AM
14:13 starting to use closer apertures to have pronounced sunstar effects at all focal lengths. It was only later that I've realized I can only close the aperture down to f22 with the DJI RS4 gimbal's wheel (in Ap. Prio or Manual mode - the two I generally use to have full control) so the 28-200's minimum apertures (f32...f45) can't be used if you only rely on the gimbal's wheel. You CAN completely reach those extremes by just (even additionally) using the camera's own dials. The latter is of course very cumbersome if you plan to do it while the gimbal is unlocked and you shoot. So, should you want to shoot the best possible sunstars (for which f22 isn't sufficient with this lens at any focal length), just use the camera's controls. Also note that you can quickly open the aperture from f32 etc. using the gimbal's wheel only; however, it'll abruptly jumo to f9 or f8 so if the sunstars are still visible when you start doing this, they will immediately be hidden as there are no sunstars at f9. This is pretty annoying...
So, ALL sunstars in this video are shot with f22 only. Do NOT judge the lens' sunstars by this video - it's certainly capable of even more pronounced ones! I'll pay special attention to manually dialing in the minimal apertures whenever I plan to shoot sunstar-enhanced scenes.
19:40 mist over the fields as seen from Montelontie towards West. The lamp posts are parallel with road Iisalmentie.
