But will the average M5 owner be doing weekly track days at Laguna seca while strapped to a 4 point harness with a fire extinguisher tucked under the seat ? I don't think so.The M5 has always been an executive sports sedan/cruiser.I think the weight thing is being blown out of proportion.

Best interaction with this car I’ve seen on RU-vid (to date). I’m not in love. Waiting to see if touring gets me more excited. Until then, my F90 LCI M5 is great.

After launch of the e65 with its bulky blow up design, bmw knew what to do with the 5 series. And they did well. It was the vibe of the new millennium. The so beloved e39 also had no L-shape rear lights, like the e38 e36 e60 too. The new front of the e60 was different, and changed the game afterwards. It had a face, recognizable. This new m5 as the flagship model of the series looks awful. Artless. Point

Some of us have not much choice but to wait 10 years to be able to afford them. By 2035 I may buy it, for now I will look for faults to make myself feel better
I don’t understand who really needs all these screens and touch panels. They are not practical and polluting. Just make a simple dashboard and middle size screen. Return buttons!!!

The most gorgeous M5 ever. I love the design and the best thing that could have happened, is the plug in hybrid. BMW made everything right again, same as with the M3/M4
Best thing that could ever happen ? It will absolutely be a monster. I am not doubting that. However the plug in part is just inconvenient. The hybrid stuff is inevitable, which I don’t love either . As a g80 m3 owner I think bmw still makes great cars but this was a little premature if you ask me . A regular hybrid was the next step.

They just seem to get it right 90-94% of the time and if not they always seem to have a reason behind it or fix it in the face lift true or false??

I will say I was kinda mad since im a 5 lover when I first seen the new 5’s. Then they grew on me and I upgraded to the new I5 M60 and I can tell you that it just keeps getting better and better. I’m getting compliments and pics taken on the reg. No matter how much people cry I’m glad BMW is taking design in directions we won’t expect. Interior feels like a well put together living room not like that trash Mercedes does where sht just looks unbalanced. Welcome home 5 series
