I totally agree. We have the 22 M40i and I’m not a fan of the new design at all. I like the engine specs but that’s it. Inside & outside design…not great. Just saw the new SQ5 today & style-wise Audi did a much better job with the new design, much better than BMW. Even all the wheel designs for the new X3 are ugly.
I am a BMW owner for 31 years.Currently driving my 6th 5 series BMW. Even picked one up in Germany. Normally I would have ordered my 7th 5 series BMW by now. However I am waiting for them to realize they are on the wrong track.
@@mvnmt1612 let's say the majority of the people don't like where BMW is headed with their designs. 3 series looks better than the 5 series IMO. There is no flow and consistency in their design.
WRONG I have had 7 5 series in a row and I got my new one which I was hesitant any first it’s by far the best one they ever made great ride great tech the only thing they could have done better on is the climate control they should have stayed with some knobs / dials to use instead of using the screen ….. seriously my only complaint everything else is way better !!! Order one I promise u won’t be sorry
@@MrGoobee I totally disagree the 7 is always the bench mark and it flows down from there and it’s all going that way the 5 is a smaller 7 and they did a amazing job the X7 on the SUV flows down from there and they are all going to look similar Same type grill and dash just different lights wheels and sportier cars amazing just got new 5 series 3 months ago love it love dash tech and new design get tons of compliments I got mine with M sport pack
BMW needs to understand that not everyone is Chinese. They should stop this thing of competing with Chinese cars. Let BMW be BMW. When I’m buying an X3 I don’t care what Kia,Hyundai or Byd is making .
Sorry to hear that every BMW has that new dash I just got my new one it’s awesome curved large screen beautiful easy to read and very modern clean look …… the front of the car coming down the road with that illuminated grill is spectacular not to mention it blows away the old X3 in luxury and size and is as nice as the X5 which I believe is BMW’s best seller ……. You watch that X3 will be the new best seller for BMW no doubt !!
@@thescharm454 luxury with all that interior plastic? I have a 2014 Audi Q5 and I guarantee you it has better build quality than this, and I wouldnt be surprised if its more comfortable to drive.
@@luxerluxerien3459 They save money by removing buttons/knobs and putting in more screens. You can just program buttons into the screen. You have to design and manufacture each button/knob. That's why you sometimes see Audi's or Lexus share a lot of buttons with cheaper Volkswagens and Toyotas.
I liked the exterior design. However, it looks like BMW put a lot of cheap and poorly designed plastic in the interior (that locking and unlocking thing looks really poorly done).
I have an x5. My second x5. I've always been a fan of BMW design language. I think this is a beautiful car. Except for gear shift. I prefer being able to hold and shift the lever.
Saw a vmw e90 parked yesterday and thought, man what a beautiful design and incredible halo headlights. Idk what bmw is doing with the modern designs. Not for me. But they are keeping it modern so it looks new when you see it.
i hate ambient lighting anyway i hate ev designs i hate ev mixed in normal i hate everything about new cars and new bmw's ugly disgusting and to much computer and led and plastic fantastic i dont like any cars any more from 2021
Not an owner nor am I shopping for one. Just observing. I think it's a significant improvement in the front and taking some time for me to absorb from the rear, where it almost looks like a wagon. Smart move by BMW to go to the quad exhaust. The Lexus exhaust tip look has been way overplayed. Irs not a good look. I did a test build on the configurator. It's a good amount of SUV for the money, cheap interior materials or not. Ordered a carbon black 2025 X5 M Sport last week. Excited over it.
Design is average, however, as a seasoned BMW owner since 1991 and the present owner of a 2022 X3 M40d. It is all too obvious that the main mission when designing and producing this car was cost savings and profit! The interior is inferior compared to the G01 and the exterior is bland and featureless with a lack of sporting lines and style. Unfortunately, it looks as if Audi is going to be my next vehicle!
I agree. I have a 2023 x3. The previous models, 2021 to 2023 look a lot nicer. This 2025 design looks bland and so round. My next one would be audi or porsche.
For me it’s the exact other way. I drove Audis since 1997 when I bought an S8 as my first Audi. Now I have to say that BMW is my first choice since the new M3 G80 came out
@@Planeandcars1980 the present crop of performance BMWs are fine cars, however, it’s what they will be replaced with in the next gen cars. Judging by the ‘neu class’ images floating around I can see a lot of BMW owners defecting to other premium brands.
I haven’t seen those images yet to be honest. But you definitely made me curious about it. Audi has some cool models but in general became too boring for me the last years. The BMW dealer in my town had a refurbishment to the new BMW standard and it’s incredible, this is also something Audi and especially Mercedes are lacking (of course has nothing to do with their cars but still) The thing is, BMW overtook Audi in sales recently and at least for now, people love BMWs
In my eighth BMW beginning with a used '73 2002 that was my college car. I've been driving an M40i since they came out and was ready to order my fourth one this summer but heard there was a redesign coming for '25. As soon as I saw the M50 had my dealer track down a carbon black '24 which I've been driving since July and love as much as it's predecessors. Sadly, unless there's a reversal of design trend, in two years may have to look at Porsche or MB for my next car😢
I think this car is fantastic. The front is a little bulbous and the rear end looks a little squatty like the XM but overall still a good looking car compared to others in the BMW lineup.
You are so correct but you know what the qulity is there that’s how way ahead they are watch how it will just grow on you. I love some of the design but they need to keep the bumper seperate
The rear looks clean af and I'm a fan.. the front looks like a thunder cat toy from the 80's... don't really care for the interior but would look better in black or red. Sad what Audi and BMW have done with the instrument cluster... or complete lack there of on both new models. X3/Q5/SQ5
Their most important model and they flub the launch. Doesn't have an opening sunroof, just a fixed glass panel, and no M Sport seats available. These are two things you can get on an X1. Cheap interior too. RIP BMW! This model isn't going to sell as well as its predecessor.
No, i dont think much of tesla’s either. BMW are leading the way. Audi are so behind the game. Theyre struggling to sell their cars. And im a former Audi owner, never owned a BMW
I still can't wrap my head around the fact they ditched trunk handlea for remote back row folding. I know it started after covid hit and some of the suppliers struggled, but it's been a while and BMW just decided to... What? Save $15 on this?
Don’t understand why Korean economy class cars have no separation between large screen, but BMWs have and where is smoothness of the corners, also why steering wheel adjustment mechanical and why back cup holders are like economy class
Last time i saw video with the interior of new hyundai santa fe, and comparing it with this new standard of BMW.... New plastic fantastic look cheap and far away from premium brand. Even last time i was in skoda saloon and there was new superb L&K and the door pockets are flocked / with some fabric to improve comfort and silence. Here we got, plastic without anything. More of that there was physical buttons and smart solution to set clime. We are going wrong way. Still love it got 3 liter inline six, and from the outside looks great, but interior looks cheap.
