@stevietrucker4631 you just said it,I remember being aghast at the 999 until I saw one "in the flesh " and it looked way curvier and I really like it now,it's improved with age,I wasn't sure about the V4 in photographs either but it's a diamond in the metal although I think the 1098 family is probably the best looking imo.

So, everyone is lamenting the lack of single sided swinger, but Ducati has built just as many superbikes with dual swingarms as single, and they did just fine in competition; 851, 888, 999; many championships there. I personally think it should always be form following function, that is what looks good, so if a dual works better, that is what looks good.

It will be interesting to see if more people think like that now. Last time they tried this on they most definitely did not, wouldn't buy it, and so back to the single sided swingarm they went.

I never truly understood single-side swing arms for anything other than saving time to swap the rear wheel, and looking good. From a structural efficiency standpoint a regular swingarm is drastically better. You only need to take a first or second year mechanical engineering statics class to grasp why that is.

@@timothyer2447 I am an engineer and have always thought they were too much of a compromise. Except for Italian bikes that seem to like using them from time to time, everyone else abandoned them on their performance bikes years ago.

Looks great, I suspect the double sided swingarm is for WSBK racing, probably lighter than single sided and easier to build in flex.

999 all over again, most V4 owners wont upgrade. try to buy a 999 vs a 998 see the price difference.

I own the 2022 version and love it. The more I see this one, the more I think “yeah, I might get one”. Swing arm and new dash are a win for me, single sided is fine but, love the looks of this one.

I'm not Troy Fogarty so I bought my 916 & latterly RC30 (when they were cheap) because of the looks & sound. I part-ex'd my CBR600 & never found the limits of that on the road. So I think the lack Single Sided arm (they should have brought back under seat pipes & yellow paint) will hurt sales. Though it won't bother me keeping them in sight on my old VFR (why did I sell the RC30). Can't wait to hear the Fast Boys at my next track day/coffee shop meet wax lyrical about the 37.6897% increased rigidity & cumbrellas.

That’s a stunning bike and looks like a very modern Duc, indeed. The swingarm is probably more controversial than anything else: presumably the engineering and testing led us here. I doubt Ducati would abandon the sexy single - sided swingarm lightly!

(update: no he didn't, the holes add compliance for cornering... so now Im even more confused because surely a sssa can easily be made more compliant? (my thinking is that the compliance isnt bidirectional on cornering, then). Ducati... Sure.. it'll sell...but you messed up dropping sssa IMHO...

It's just disappointing how it looks they need to leave the 916 alone and the classic design alone and just update the 2024 looks into a futuristic design

Like the styling. always wondered why the tank styling was always different to the SBK racing bikes. Obviously the new styling has a more ergonomic function than a styling function. like the whole styling of the new bike but still like the present Panigale V4. I prefer the looks of the single sided swing arm. But I think because in SBK single sided swingarms are not allowed for next year they have switched to double sided swing arms. And as everyone knows Ducati has competed in SBK successfully for years.

@@phykell I think it looks stunning, IMO. You can't please everyone, I suppose, but with a few carbon goodies, especially on the swingarm and winglets, would set it off beautifully. It's funny when the V4 came out everyone moaned the styling locked the same as 1199 and now they've changed it up everyone says they prefer the old one.

I hope it has an option to buy it with single sided swingarm. Im no racer and i dont think the dssa will make me ride faster. I just want to enjoy it every sunday on my favorite mountain road and love the look everytime i stare at it. And also, that mirror looks like one from a scooter.

il be honest i like the looks of the 2025 it looks like a good evolution of the 2024 v4 and the electronics and display screen looks cool the only thing that kind putting me off is the double sided swing arm if ducati put a single sided swingarm on this bike i will definitely buy it no question this would have look killer with a single sided swingarm.

I know everybody else is sad about the single sided swing arm, some not all. But to me personally, I think this bike is a good looking bike I mean, just look at it, in person this thing must be breathtaking and the designs of the double arms look attractive with the holes it gives it all new character.

The front headlight array with all that glass is horrible. The previous version did great by making it look more like a real racebike without that huge mess. Other than that I love it. DSS is going to be a stronger piece of the puzzle for sure. Just the lights are not desirable. Putting it nicely there.

When I look at the front fascia, I am reminded of a an RU-vid short video of a cat. I much rather have the 999 over the 25 PV4 regarding looks. The 999 was also the last time there was a double sided swing arm.

Y’all are hating but this is a beautiful evolution. Y’all don’t understand this is the foundation of the new era and every update will make this look better for years to come. Think of how the 6th gen started when it came out, bland, and basic, now it’s super aggressive. I can’t wait to see how the 7th gen matures over the years

Looks like a very nice Fireblade at this point. If the RSV4 get a single sided swing arm and a bigger screen im gonna have to switch it up!! Good looking bike but the swing arm might be a deal breaker, they could have left that to the moto gp riders and stuck with sexy traditional Ducati styling.

It has been spotted testing already and looks great. You can find the photos online, it will come with a new V2 engine we don't know about yet.

V2 is the last. Different engine will be. So if you have a V2 keep it. This V4 is Mega. Really on top of the track👍

The FIRST PANIGALE WAS THE PRETTIEST. V2, new, non-polished architecture. But one of the prettiest of all time along with Tamburini's 916 and F4.

I don't dislike the swingarm, and with a bit of gloss carbon would make it look stunning, imo. You're always going to get some hate from the crayon eaters who are addicted to negativity and the salty people who can't afford one. Looking forward to seeing what they are going to do with the SFV4.

If the guys at Ducati had any sense, rhey would have made the hollow double swingarm standard on the new V4R. And kept the single sided one on v4 and v4s to maximize style on the street oriented versions. That way they can filter out posers who buy V4R but never track it by naking it look uglier, but better performing, but also keep the customers eho just want to look good on their street spec bikes.

The posers would still buy the "R" just because it's the more expensive one. And having one as a single sider abd the other double sided makes no economic sense. They can justify it on the Multistrada because it's their biggest seller, by a long way.

@@davidivers6261 nor does making a 1200cc engine for 2/3 of the Panigale line and another 997cc engine for the Panigale R. But they did it. The V4 and V4S are the main sellers of the line, makes sense to retain customers by keeping the style

Less gills, and the color matched einglets are nice. Starting to look like an octopus/squid up front though. Longer rear end never hurts for comfort, pillions, and overall appearance. Tired of nose heavy designs.
