We bought a 2024 24KB and love it. My wife and I took a trip this past winter , Maine to The Florida keys, it was great. The Gemini easily cruises at 75 on I95 and has good passing power. Over 4500 miles we averaged 13-14 mpg. Plenty of room fir the two of us and our dog!

Thor should propose a sofa bed instead of the jackknife sofa to sleep two adult. I found such sofa bed replacement on wayfair. Or they should propose a removal extension for the legs and an foam to put on top. But a sofa bed is simpler. Currently i think i would opt for a sofa bed replacement i found around between 500$ to 1100$ CDN, you have something light that could fit inside the slide and the two wireless charging frame.

In addition, one other thing, I really think all of those water and electrical access buttons should be behind a little locking door just to keep people honest I’ve never been camping, but I speculate in this day and age you have pranksters and just silly people that might want to do somethingnot that that door is going to be like a Wells Fargo safe but at least it keeps people honest

I like it. It seems very good. The only option missing is a big electrical solutions. Inverter 3000w, A/C soft start, dual mppt controller for 400w rigid panel on the roof and allowing to plug my Bluetti 420w portable panel with mc4 connector (for shaded location) and minimum one or two 270ah lithium battery self heating. Currently, the only solution is to bring it to a solar professional installer for full customization. But Thor is on the right path. Just one piece missing : the electrical system.

@@ThorMotorCoach i look and a full victron electrical system 660ah 3000w inverter with mppt controller and 4 x 250w panel on the roof, ac soft start and the cost of installation is 16500$ US + taxes. There is another solution is to buy a powerstation bluetti ac200L 2400w output, 1200w input solar with RVplug (i have one) and it is only 1250$ US and a 420w external panel, 2 x b210 2150wh battery for a total of 6348 wh (2300$) and 4 x 250w panel on the roof with a d40 (300/400$ probably) module to charge the house battery, and a dc-dc charger to charge from your alternator during driving (bluetti charger1 of 560w for less than 400$) The cost would be far less and with that you can run the entire compass 24kb with a/c off the grid for short/medium stops depending of your electrical usage. With the bluetti solution you can also use it at your home place which is better for the maintenance of the batteries and mandatory in electrical shortage. It is not as sleek than the victron full system and require the solar input cable connect/ disconnect, and the tt030 rv plug cable management but it is less expensive and reusable at home.

It doesn't have lithium (LiFePo4) options either, but that is an easy switch out. The battery is in the stairwell, and I was able to get a 250ah LiFePo4 battery to fit perfectly. The charger is capable of 55amp in theory with an actual of around 45amps. I don't recommend upgrading the solar beyond 200 watts unless you're going to get high gauge wiring.

@@tstrafaci i think the 2025 have 100ah lithium and Gopower controller 30A, and yes also the charger converter 12v. In theory you can put up to 384w solar so a 250w or even a 300w should fit. But yes for a big system , the wiring and components has to be revamped. Or simply add Bluetti Ac200L and one or two b210 for a total of 6300wh with 4 x 250w on the roof connected to the bluetti and add a d40 to charge the house battery and a charger1 dc-dc to charge the bluetti with the alternator. You can also add a pv420 watts portable and you switch the config depending of the conditions. It is the less expensive system i know and you can use it at home for power shortage, it is not tied to the RV.

Here’s an idea you could make a full length shower and either put a fold out sink next to the toilet or a fold out sink in the shower at the end near the door opening and option three is to put a freestanding sink in the shower sort of make it like a hybrid wet bath, except leave the toilet outside of the shower

Where is the spare tire? What is the gas mileage?
@ThorMotorCoach
@ThorMotorCoach 4 месяца назад
Good morning! The unit does not come with a spare tire. Gas mileage will vary depending on how the coach is loaded, what if anything is being towed, the terrain being driven on and how the chassis has been maintained.
@tstrafaci
@tstrafaci 11 дней назад
It varies widely. I have a 2023 23TW, and it can get up to 15 mpg under perfect conditions, but it's usually going to be 10 to 13 mpg. Perfect conditions would mean very slow starts, staying under 60 mph, no cruise control, no head winds and all while driving on a flat road and not towing anything. On the other hand, I still get around 9 to 10 mpg when I drive 70+ mph while towing a vehicle in windy conditions. FYI... Cruise control is not practical if you want to maximize your fuel economy because it's going to try to maintain your speed going up hill, and brake on the down hill. I recommend going slower on uphills and let gravity help you go a little faster on the downhills.

How do you level the 2025 Thor Gemini 24 KB.
@ThorMotorCoach
@ThorMotorCoach 2 месяца назад
Good morning! Thank you for watching and your comment. The compact size of the 24KB and the small slide makes it ideal to be manually leveled. Please let me know if you have any other questions.
@CC-gt3ro
@CC-gt3ro День назад
Buy simply two manual stabilizer jack in both side for the slide and blocks to level. The 24kb can be used without using the slide, as there is plenty of space to move inside the coach. Automatic Leveling system are too heavy for the Ford transit and Mercedes sprinter, you would use too much cargo capacity. If you don’t use the slide you can simply buy inflatable blocks to level, and manual stabilizer to avoid the RV balancing. But you can also decide to put nothing and not using the slide. The twin bed is good for that.

Good morning, Michael! Thank you for watching and your question. The generator on the 24KB is in the rear drivers side storage compartment.

It's in the center-rear of the RV. When he shows you pass through storage (with the golf clubs), it's the box in the middle.
