I wont ever be able to afford a brand new 5N but by god will I have a used one in the future ! This is the best EV ever - the passion of petrol in the future of electric - Well Done Hyundai x Lets hope they dont suffer from the whole ICCU issues of the standard Ioniq 5
Good luck even getting a second-hand one, with sales numbers which they can not even sell the standard model. April 2024, a total of 1 Ioniq 5 was sold in all of NZ!
I love everything about your reviews. I watch them even if I’m not interested in the car. You make me laugh. Please don’t listen to criticism. As for who would buy one of these… I’m a pushing-60 year old woman, I own an i30N and I would trade it for one of these in a heartbeat, if I could afford one.
I've not watched any other reviews of the N and probably won't need to as your review is pretty comprehensive. But you've gotta beg those Hyundai reps to let you have a spin on a track day. This car is definitely one for the GenX 80s boy racers 😁🏎️
Thought it was pointless. Now I am thinking this might be the EV to replace my wife's old ICE car (originally my Dad's)..... but she may be driving it less than I do 😂
I think Hyundai has built the first _"Petrol derived"_ EV in this mental Ioniq 5 N. And if you've ever seen one of these beasties in red, doesn't it bring back memories from the 1980's of the drop dead gorgeous 4WD beast called the *Lancia Delta Integrale?* It's a car to take the kids to school, takes the in-laws for a day out or the missus to the supermarket. But when the kids are in school, the in-laws back at their home and the shopping's been put away, with the press of a button, you've unleashed Hephaestus, Vulcan and Vesta at the same time and it's time to play 8-))...
With all EV now, as soon as you drive it off the lot, kiss 50% goodbye! EV are dead in NZ, all thanks to this wonderful new government! Do not believe me? A total of 262 brand new EV sold in April 2024, with another 100 used imports. Most sold, of course Tesla. Guess how many Hyundai Ioniq 5 sold? 1!
@@JohnLee-db9zt no, I hope the latest BYD hybrid car will come to nz, with the real world tested range of 2400km, I'll be choosing that over anything else. It had a advertised range of 2100km but someone tested it in real world conditions and they achieved 2400km in a single tank
@@RicknMorty85Lol, you really don’t know Chinese EVs. You will be shocked, literally! People like you never learn going for the cheapest product. You get what you pay for. 😂 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-C7PubmPu-3I.htmlsi=huY6qOy6ZcZgLQ2P
That is super cool. As a an 80s baby this is my jam. I love the fact the sound is inside only so people can't hear your weird ness 😂 they just see it going slow and fast randomly. It's very mood dependant. Angry broke sad 😂 it has it all. Got my lotto ticket.
Great review. I don’t think I have ever seen you enjoy a car as much as this one. Have you seen the 5n doing 2 laps around the Nürburgring? Definitely worth a watch. Jack’s Fully Charged review is also good, with some epic Scottish drone photography.
I drive a Hyundai Kona EV. I had the window down as I drove slowly. I herd a pedestrian say, "It sound just like the Millennium Falcom." 3.3 sec to 100Km/h, How fast to light speed?
Why oh why did I NOT win lotto? It's a shame it isn't able to switch to 2wd to increase efficiency. 21kwh per 100km seems pretty poor. Surely it does better in eco mode for around town use ?
I didn’t say you couldn’t turn it off whereas the video says “there’s no noise on the outside” when there can be! Seeing as I have one on the drive smartarse I am fully aware of what it can and can’t do!
Watching the rest now and honestly love your content but not sure about spud score.... I'm not tring to sound negative though... you have such great energy and I love your videos. Keep it up spud man!
Great review., as always! The price is the killer despite how good the package is but that seems to be the Hyundai and Kia way these days. It’s a heap of fun and a laugh a minute though, having test driven one! I’d probably prefer a new Model 3 Performance and pocket the change over the gimmicks of this.
Hard to get behind this analogy, since they attempt to bring over all the things that make you feel engaged with car. I would not be interested in "alternative" bacon, since the replication is pointless, and I would rather prefer different food unless it is actual printed bacon. With the car it feels a bit different. Yes it is a gimmic, and you would not use something like that on your day to day, but on track it gives you additional dimension. Something that EVs lack. EV is precise and sterile on its delivery, but this is another aspect of humans where we rather prefer imperfection. Producers use imperfection while producing music btw, to make songs feel more natural. They intentionally put some stuff off beat. While you don't register anything artificial, but that is the whole point. Same with this car. It is perfectly imperfect when you want it.
@@Zarphag Good thing I avoid Google then. I use Brave (Privacy) Browser over VPN's and disable as many tracking features as I can. Though to be fair, I do have some Google products exposure. But I try to counteract it, including never using my real name nor recycling the same email address. What's your next misconception? Fire away!
Its just ugly and STUPID, especially the FAKE GEARS, FAKE ENGINE NOISE AND THE STUPID PLATIC BITS.💩💩💩💩💩 I GIVE IT FIVE TURDS. Which is a pity as the ioniq 5 my favourite ev.
Go to bmw , oh..... they just do the same. Fake noise, plastic AND you cannot change gear. Always a huge argument against ev, and know its possible. You say its BS. ???
