“Not a ton changes in the interior” - New steering wheel controls, new center console design with added seat heating/cooling buttons, changes to climate controls, new infotainment software, larger battery so more range. Pretty substantial for a refresh. It also is the first non Tesla to come with the NCAS port, but that’s on the outside. Not a ton of difference between the xrt and the regular Ionic if that’s what she meant, but then I don’t think the cup holders are different on the different trims so I don’t think she meant that. Just remembered that the steering wheel now has the Morse code light up to show the charge, but maybe not on the XRT. It’s a prototype so I expect the production model will be a tad bit different.
I don’t love it. I love the ionic 5 but… mmm- I really don’t like the bumper treatment - at least how it appears in the video. I don’t know. It just doesn’t do it for me. Maybe in person.
Hyundai needs to do more if they want these to be thought of as off road. At least Bronco Sport with the new sasquatch package of Subaru with their Wilderness version. Just raising it a half inch and changing the tires and cladding does not make an off-roader.
Everytime i see a 5 on the road. its always a old white guy or woman. its mainly an old person car thats either in a mid life crisis or wanted something that wasnt a tesla.
