God I really wish. The build would be so much better now even though it’s a guaranteed to be an expensive upgrade. Really, I just desperately want more alien Jedi figures that everyone else wants.
I think it’s too early for Force Awakens anniversary sets - I’m not sure there’s enough love for the sequels yet. And as much as LEGO loves ESB 45 seems a clunky anniversary to me: 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 seem nicer for some reason. I do think we’ll get some Revenge Of The Sith sets. A Palpatine’s Arrest diorama would be great but we don’t tend to get many minifigs in those sets so I’m prepared for some disappointment - possibly Anakin, Palpatine & Windu only? Personally I’m hoping for a ROTS Brickheadz set: The Phantom Menace one this year was really good
That’s my concern with the Sequels too, I think it’s too soon? 10 years at the very least could be warranted for 1 single set or something. I actually agree that 45yrs feels like an odd one to celebrate, but I think LEGO would want to capitalise however they can on anything related to the original trilogy. Sets from those are always likely to sell with the audience. As for the Palpatine Arrest idea, man I actually thought a diorama would look great and even I started thinking they only figures they will give us for a remake, 100%, would be just Anakin, Windu and Palpatine 😭 Brickheadz is a nice option. Grievous would look killer.
Well, you look at the 10 year anniversary of TPM/lego Star Wars and that wave is primarily OT and Clone Wars sets. TCW was coming out to reinforce the story of the prequels, and there were accompanying lego sets, if not explicitly prequel. Disney hasn’t had confidence or great world building in the sequel era to return to it, so it’s not getting the reinforcement for the next generation. But following a similar time frame, now is the time for children to be getting invested in that era, even if the adults want nothing to do with it (and honestly, yeah… it’s a different type of story from what George Lucas did. I think the sequels will age better than their current perception, but not as well as the prequels have.)
@@obvious_owl7206 Yeah it's been tough to see the amount of new stories that only want to explore the original trilogy era recently and not expand upon that new era Disney created. To me it does feel like a lack of confidence but it sounds like the future projects propose exploring that timeline so maybe Disney tries to push more merchandising for promotion. I think these things will age fine, it's the kids that loved that Clone Wars era all grown up now that love them as adults.
Man me too honestly. One of the opening levels of the LEGO games too so that sequence is ingrained in my mind. I desperately want a Count Dooku minifigure so any excuse to get him in LEGO again.
For the Empire Strikes Back, a Cloud City Playset that isn't super expensive would be really nice! For Revenge of the Sith, a set I would like so see is a microfighter or diorama of General Grievous's fight with Obi-Wan, with the wheel bike and Boga. That or a small set based on the duel between Mace Windu and Darth Sidious. For The Force Awakens, I would really love to see a playset or diorama based on Maz Kanata's castle. More interior space, and the inclusion of characters like Sidon Ithano and Quiggold would be awesome. I'd also like a Resistance X-Wing, or a set based on the opening of the film in the village on Jakku. For the game...I want Dexter's Diner! And having all the chaos of the game referenced with classic designs for characters would be so cool and funny!
Our minds 🤯 Awesome ideas. Love the thought of the microfighters for unique designs we haven’t seen before. Having a Takodana set with a full interior would amaze me. Would love to see the figures included.
@@RayLilySeries Yeah if they also included the Spy Bezine Natal and Maz's 1000-year old protocol droid EMMIE, that'd be awesome. Or maybe Kix, the last Clone trooper as an easter egg! I'd love them to include the basement with the chest containing Anakin's lightsaber, and a bit of the forest. And yeah a microfighter of the wheel bike and a brick-built Boga would be so cute! I'd also love to see Plo Koon in the rumored ARC-170!
Current state of LEGO across multiple themes. I usually buy my sets as discounted prices and use loyalty points from stores. But I’m also in the privileged state of having a RU-vid channel that earns revenue. It’s a shame to see how expensive this hobby has become for people and how LEGO have forced out their audience by charging insane prices.
2025 is going to be the new year for "Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back's 45th Anniversary Celebration", "Star Wars: Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith's 20th Anniversary Celebration", "Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens' 10th Anniversary Celebration", and "LEGO Star Wars: The Video Game's 20th Anniversary Celebration", RayLily Series! :)
I would really like a force ghost in Lego! My dream would be all 3 ghosts from Episode 6, but a set maybe depicting the dark side Cave Luke goes into could work with Luke on Dagobah with Luke, Yoda, R2, Bader with a broken helmet and a Luke head, and ghost Obi Wan could work. It could test the ghost minifigure (they have blue see through bricks, so I think they could do it).
Force ghosts taking this long to adapt into minifigures is really surprising. A very iconic and recognisable element from the movies, you would think this would be something already explored in sets.
I really want a Palpatine vs Yoda set from Episode 3. I want an updated Palps with a brown hood and legs with a couple shock troopers and maybe a couple platforms and, if we’re really lucky, at the middle platform the chancellor sits in the middle of the senate chambers
I have been wanting this sequence as a set for years. Love the idea of the senate chamber room and flying podiums. And I really want to see a Palpatine in that dark red design from the first chunk of the movie.
Rogue one fore sure🗣️🗣️💯💯🔥 I missed out on U-Wing and the Director Kennric Shuttle. There is some hope since Andor season 2 is releasing in 2025 so we will probably get some similar ships and characters from Lego.
This is exactly what I was hoping for, that Andor being as much of a success as it is might mean we get more sets for Season 2. It's currently my absolute favourite thing being put out right now on Disney Plus so potentially having minifigs of characters from that specific series would be great for me.
Without the Lego Star Wars game I have no idea when I would have discovered Star Wars. It was my introduction into the universe and movies. I missed out on Krennic’s shuttle and now its really hard to find, The U-wing is one of my favorite sets.
Would like to see some new Eta 2 Actis Class interceptors, there have been too many of the AOTC style Jedi Starfighters. Would also be nice if they could remake the Darth Vader's Transformation set with Palpatine's shuttle and a similar play feature that works with the new Vader helmet mold.
Yeah I have enough Episode II based Jedi Starfighters, I adore the design of the Episode III ships. Another Vader transformation would be cool. Loved the playset released some years ago but wish it was featured in some interior room. Would make for a great display for the anniversary.
I'd wish for Lego to be innovative and release expanded universe sets from the books. Ppl grew up with reading Heir to the Empire and all the EU books before Disney bought Lucasfilms
God I would love for something based on Tartakovsky’s Clone Wars from 2003 to be released. I also adore the idea of videogames having sets so anything from the games would be killer. Really wish Kyle Katarn was one of the anniversary figures released.
A favourite of mine too! We did have the Starkiller Duel set not too long ago now so I don't know if LEGO would remake that set so soon? But they have remade sets before within a short time frame from the previous release (Luke's Landspeeder) and I imagine a set with Rey and Kylo would be one of the more appealing sets for the audience so heres hoping.
They currently have the newer design as a microfighter, so I could 100% see them re-releasing it as an Empire Strikes Back variant with an accurate figure inclusion.
Actually a Carbonite Han would be a great set idea. Even if they didn’t do a diorama, a display model of the actual carbonite brick with a brickbuilt Han looking exactly like the LEGO piece would be something I buy. Anything First Order related will have me intrigued. I would love to have some Starkiller Base sets to show off that area.
Wait. Why would Disney want Force Awakens sets? And the kids that saw Force Awakens don't care for Force Awakens. Actually, the youth, does not like Star Wars. The average age of Ahsoka's viewership was old millennials. For the kids that do actually like Star Wars, they like what the kids from 20 years ago like. CLONES. And this is just a small reason why I think the logic that "everyone thought the prequels were bad, and then 10 years later they became beloved, and the same will happen with the sequels" is stupid and does not apply. With all that said, LEGO Star Wars crushes sales numbers because it is adults with disposable income buying for themselves. Young kids actually prefer Ninjago.
huh wtf. There are many kids in the cinema watching those sequels movies, so even maybe they don’t like it, those sequels movies are why they started to like the theme
@@danyzg_2053yes ik. The message about sequels is said to something, not you. I am just saying that sequels is the thing that let modern kids to get into the theme , then find out other better things like clone wars and the other movies. For me, rogue one is why I started liking the theme.
