Lincoln's flagship SUV, the original king of luxury, has received a fresh makeover. The 2025 Navigator features a striking new split grille with an illuminated bar and a redesigned two-piece tailgate. Long known for setting trends in the luxury segment, the updated Navigator takes inspiration from the latest Nautilus but elevates the design to new levels of grandeur.
The 2025 Navigator showcases mostly new sheet metal, including a redesigned hood, front fenders, and rear quarters, while the doors remain unchanged. The most significant change is at the rear, where a new split tailgate offers both a lift-up upper section and a drop-down lower gate, similar to the Range Rover. This new feature allows for easy access to the cargo area, with the lower gate supporting up to 500 pounds and offering an available seatback insert-perfect for tailgating.
Inside, the Navigator's interior has been upgraded with a huge curved screen and a more streamlined dashboard. The primary touchscreen is an 11.1-inch vertical display, and the once-crowded center console has been simplified with fewer physical controls. The steering wheel has a unique "squircle" shape, giving drivers a clear view of the digital gauges.
Comfort is key in the Navigator, with the Perfect Position front seats offering up to 30-way adjustability, depending on the trim. Second-row passengers have several seating options, including captain's chairs with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The third row features a power-folding bench with heated cushions. A panoramic sunroof, scent diffuser, and phone-as-a-key capability come standard.
Under the hood, the Navigator continues to deliver power with its 3.5-liter V6 engine, which produces 440 horsepower and 510 pound-feet of torque. The SUV comes with standard all-wheel drive and adaptive dampers that adjust to road conditions. The Navigator is available in standard and extended L versions, with the latter offering even more cargo space.
Pricing details will be announced in the fall, with orders expected to open in October. The base price is anticipated to start just under $100,000, as the entry-level Premiere trim has been discontinued.
Thanks for tuning in today. Until next time, keep chasing your dreams, enjoy the thrill of the road, and drive safe.
