Great review Kevin! The value for money in the Select trim is insane! Standard AWD, standard blind spot monitoring, nice big touchscreen, leatherette seats, heated front seats, rear air vents, nice alloy rims etc. Such a great deal, especially if you can negotiate a price under MSRP which is very much possible!

I just wish the base model came standard with roof rails. I know it's an option to add, but most CX-5's at dealerships don't have them. So it's a special order.

Great vehicle, looked at the 2.5 Turbo Premium. One of the best driving vehicles we drove, checked all the boxes for us including price. The only reason we won’t be buying one is the subscription based remote start. For our cold snowy winters it’s a must have for us. Absolutely REFUSE to go down that road. It’s a slippery slope people.

Shots of the CX-5 going through heavy snow means AWD plus GOOD snow tires. My 2019 CX-5 Grand Touring Reserve now wears 245/50/19 MICHELIN Cross Climate 2 All Season tires have the3 mountain peak/snowflake icon on the sidewall meaning suitable for sow. You better believe that logo! I've driven mine through 10" fresh snow and 5" of thick, "cheesey", driven-over snow with excellent traction and steering/directional feel. After a year and 20,000 miles they were just as good in deep snow as when new.

Mazda needs to go back to the simplified Trim selection they used to have: Sport, Touring & Grand Touring. Grand Touring sounded cooler too. Now each vehicle has like 7-8 different trims: S, Select, Preferred, Premium, Premium Plus, Carbon, Turbo Premium, Signature, etc.

That's why they have to carry a ton of inventory they can't sell. Plus, I hate their extra cost paint color options. They were one of the first mainstream brands to do so.

I'm thinking of leasing between 2025 premium plus vs 2024 turbo signature, thinking about costs tho. I feel turbo will add up with gas costs with the poor fuel economy and premium gas rec but also thinking the premium plus will have higher interest rate for 2025? Any guidance on this?

@@MeynMotorGroup So August is good for 2024 vehicles but catch is for me I have to wait next month to see 2025 vehicles, rates not released yet. So I can either take a remaining 2024 turbo and or gamble on a new 2025 in a few weeks.

That's a good thing. Not including SiriusXM keeps the costs down for everyone else who isn't using it. Which is 99% of the client base. Internet radio is dead. If you want it, just use Android auto. Unlike US makers Mazda doesn't bloat their cars with useless features.

@@Wayneman50 You do have freedom of choise, that's why Android Auto and Apply CarPlay were created. I'm sure SiriusXM doesn't keep monopoly on whatever sports you want to listen to, and there are other ways of getting what you want through a phone. There's no way automotive companies can keep up with needs of the consumer by creating and maintaining a whole new ecosystem for their media systems. Instead most choose to let the mobile sector deal with media needs, as an overlapping market with much larger funding and development capacity.
