Oh wow I saw this get on the track from pflanzgarten and thought nothing of it, I was a bit further away so I could only hear it and saw a glimpse. Should've stayed longer.
@@jonathanng138without knowledge on the subject, i think its there to distribute better the downforce of the rear big aerofoil. I would like to know too.
@jonathanng138 @NikosPer I highly recommend KYLE.ENGINEERS video on shark fins. Essentially it’s to give lateral grip by providing a force on the yaw angle. It also helps with stability in the same way feathers on the back of an arrow keeps it flying straight
Probably puts more weight towards front of the rear axle, this would make the rear more stable. It must direct the airflow in the way they want, they know what they're doing. To me it seems like they want to achieve less crossover turbulence in high speed corners, especially when you rapidly change directions like at Spiegelkurve. The presence of the fin causes lower pressure on the outside of the corner (example left side in a fast right hander has the faster air flow, therefore lower pressure = more downforce). But in reality this is way more complicated than that, the whole aero must work in harmony.
I think they are gonna build a hypercar from the next GT2 or GT3 RS 😂 that fin is looking and functionig crazy, it looks like its gonna take every corner flat out😂
Lmao what are you talking about, you want to be slow or fast. There are other cars that emphasise looks, Porsche got and always will get their reputation from motorsports and driving fast on track.
