Nah these prices are insane. I get that a 911 is special, but $122K for a base model??? In a world where the Corvette exists for tens of thousands less? The RS5? To say nothing of the Aston Martin Vantage and Mercedes-AMG GT in that price bracket.
A 2024 Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro is half the cost of a 911 at $65k. Not too long ago a 2015 Tacoma TRD Pro was $38k when the base 911 was $85k so it's seems the price of a 911 got cheaper relative to inflation.
@@trigganometry168 Your cherry-picked example shows only that the Porsche has gotten "cheaper" *relative to the Tacoma TRD*. $85K in 2015 is worth $114K today, so the Porsche is more expensive than ever, even accounting for inflation. The fact Toyota is soaking TRD buyers even worse than Porsche is, doesn't mean Porsche isn't doing it. Prices of tech should come down over time, not go up.
A lot of folks talking about the price like they were about to buy it anyway😂 😂 People who truly have the money to buy it are not gonna complain about a $20,000 increase
I know in some markets this model is the only one that would make sense to get. It will sell more in the some markets better than others for tax reasons.
Glad I got my manual 2024 992.1 GTS when given the allocation option last year. Suspected manual would go away. Porsche should have bumped the 992.2 Turbo S into hybrid territory. Improve rest of line-up; perhaps a slightly de-tuned naturally aspirated 4.0 liter in the GTS. The 992.2 GTS front vertical slats and rear exhaust/ diffuser facia looks poor. Digitizing tach also a fail as well. Know tech and power output of 992.2 GTS is a leap forward, but leaves true enthusiasts behind. There is still hope the Carrera S and T will still have a manual option.
Ordered mine today. October is the month when it will be delivered. I believe this car will be one of the most sought after models. Specially the 4wd variant.
Amazing cars but the prices are so ridiculous. Literally only rich people can afford these at this point. The GTS used to be the "Goldilocks" model. Yes, its always been expensive, but... You're literally looking at 200k with a few options checked. Thats just insanity. Residual value is great and all, but... Jesus. Enough is enough.
