Making blindspot optional but a sunroof standard on the premium is a weird move. Wish it was the other way around.

Right on! For family safety, the blind spot monitoring should be standard and the sunroof should be part of the option package.

I wish that the front passenger seat of the premium trim had a manually adjustable front passenger seat height. They could differentiate by making it powered in the upper trims. It's not as if only the driver needs to be comfortable in a "family" car.

The part was redesigned for 2022 and no longer an issue. Subaru has gone back to the old school aluminum/thermostats on 2025 and up so it is no longer an issue.

Does auto start/stop stay in last selected mode, or does it default to ON at start up?

@@matthewestrada7520 Thanks and you are correct. Defaults to ON at every start up. What I didnt know is that Subarus have a 2nd starter motor dedicated to this function. This motor is rated to 75 starts per day for 10 yrs. Just passing along info given to me by Subaru.

@@tikkin11 oh thanks for the info, I had a 23 Crosstrek Premium and hated that feature I disabled it with auto start stop eliminator. Now I drive a 24 Ascent Onyx it doesn’t even have that feature so I don’t have to worry about the auto start stop

SInce Subarus are great for mountain driving, all trims should come with paddle shifters in order to be able to use engine braking.

Too long and has lost the typical "Subaru Forester Charisma". The best year models of Subaru Forester are: First generation 1998! Second generation 2003! Fourth generation 2013! What do you think Forester Fans?

My 2024 wilderness forester is a keeper…not a fan infotainment in my wife’s 2024 Crosstrek onyx.. It does everything I need it to do..and the all weather tires are amazing in the snow..

Of all of our Foresters, only the 2013 was a lemon with numerous problems. Just one data point of course.

@@kurtkaufman our 2011 Forester had the oil consumption issue..Subaru fixed it with 175 thousand kilometres on the engine and even replaced the valve train as well as the short block…and that’s why we still buy Subaru’s..they stand behind their cars
