Sadly the EU gets the worse LG battery pack, the US gets the better one from Panasonic. That's also why the thermals and power is different. For more info look below:
That's Tesla to blame. It's a serious engineering and quality control fault not to ensure that the car performs the same no matter the supplier. I'm not sure if the USA version is still free of thermal and performance issues.
@@onlyilhan6399 I don't know, probably supply chain. The US gets the Panasonic because they are apparently build in the US for approval for the subsidies
C'est les même puissance, sauf que les tests WLPT ne sont pas pareils. Mettez un modèle américain et un européen sur un banc de puissance et vous retrouverez le même nombre de chevaux.
I own this car, performance dips a bit when below 80% battery. 3.1 seconds to 100 is easily doable when your battery is in this bracket. Also the 100-200 is faster if the battery is full. When below 40% expect about 4 seconds to 0-100. I can confirm that the handling is very good for a car this price. I paid €57 K
got my drivers license 6 months ago and I've driven 8 cars so far. 7 of them with normal indicators and the model 3 highland. After 50km and three round abouts I didn't even have to think about where to tap. Even after a month of not driving the tesla, I didn't need to adjust again and could just start driving
Turn signals as buttons on steering wheel should be banned in EU. This is not only inconvenient but also dangerous. After test driving few cars with this feature i always had to walk off the buy…
Funny when it was taken to the Nurnberg ring brakes started burning (when Misha Charoudin) was driving it. But in general it looks like you both agree that the model 3 performance improved compared to the old one.
@@outofmatrix941 Hmm but the crap brakes can only take 1/3 of the lap so there will be two brake changes total. So one lap will take several hours. What a crap american car.
It overheats like crazy on race tracks but you can even replicate that on the Autobahn. It is one of the worst if not the worst "performance" car the world has ever seen since it literally can't deliver sustained performance (overheating motors, overheating battery) and safety (brakes are gone smoking after a few minutes on a race tracks but at least they seem to be okay on highway runs). It is just a traffic light launch control car for kids
Just some tips: USA battery = Panasonic (made in USA, so they get 7500 USD tax credits for cars there using it) China battery = LG LG battery has an initial kick a bit harder than Panasonic, but the Panasonic one does pull harder at very high speeds. The LG does charge a bit slower, but it should be said the LG does degrade much less over time. So over time the Panasonic will loose more performance as it degrades. The LG does reportedly weighs 50kg +- less I've read (not sure about the number). Other than that, the tests from USA which have best dragy runs are on prepped tracks with 18" rims and square 235 tires. Staggered setup doesent help for dragracing, neither does using track mode as in this video. Track mode cools battery too much for accelleration, you would want to first charge to 100% and then use "trip planner" to plan a trip to the supercharger. Then you can sit in the car and just let it heat, or drive a bit and then do pulls. The best dragracers charge and come to the prepared track with removed passenger seat, removed rear seat etc. Then they have as high SoC as they can (near 100% charge), they then look at the battery temperature as they preheat just before they race. They either use enhance s3xy buttons+app or another third party app like scan my tesla. If using enhance auto, you can also preheat from a widget on a phone, that phone can also act as a digital dash. So the difference 0-60 (or 0-100km/h) is very small, but the top end speed is much harder on USA version. But also remember that the people with quickest dragy times, are not driving around with extra seats or with OEM wheels. OEM wheels are very good should be said, but 235 square on 18" wheels can still shave off maybe 0.1 seconds or so 0-100km/h, as you can save some friction and some rotational mass. In USA it seems AS UHP tires in 235 in 18" are often used by Tesla dragracing people on prepped tracks.
@@louisolivierfortintbh idc, it is cheap af at 56k €, about 60% cheaper than a well specced M3 Competition with the same power output. And even though it is the same price as last generation with over 30% inflation during that period (so in theory it got quite a bit cheaper), it still gets new seats, new aero stuff, new front bumper and diffuser, new brakes and a newly designed motor. I really don't know how to complain about it. Tesla did great with this car.
0:15, thanks for mentioning this. Tesla calls it a completely redesign with 50% of parts changed. It truly is a brand new Model 3. However, all Tesla haters keeps calling it a "face-lift" trying to convince people nothing has changed. I am testing it tomorrow for the first time, cannot wait! Maybe you can answer, why do all Dutch people drive 20 kph over the speed limit, is there no traffic police down there? We had a 1 week holiday in the Nederlands, great place! 🙂
10:30 Its because we get the LG batteries which is actually better in the long run. In the US they use the Panasonic batteries with slightly higher peak power, BUT the battery degredation on the them is double of the LG batteries. Which means after 160.000 km the Panasonic have about 12% degredation and the LG only 6%.

Impressive car but top end still struggles. 100-200 almost 10 seconds? That would make it even slower if you compare it to the US measurement 60-130. Just goes to show how impressive plaids are when they can do 60-130 in mid to high 4's.
@@ethandean206 I didn't get that car for 60-130. I got for the involvment of driving. The sound of course and because it's GM's last and final take on an all motor powerplant like this.
I love it for the price, but the brakes should last longer for such a powerful car that calls itself performance. Watch Misha Charoudins Video for example.
That’s bullshit. You cannot expect cars at this price point to have brakes that last a whole lap of Nordschleife. Model 3 Performance has excellent brakes, just as Martijn points out as well, but don’t expect them to last for long on a track at max speed. Upgrade to stronger stuff if you’re looking for that!
@@Berenvacht any other german car will not overheat that fast on the Autobahn. It IS a problem and I AM living in Germany and want to use a sporty car as intended.
@@Gochsener None German car can compete with the Tesla Model 3 at the same price tag, even the guy from the video said it very clearly "No car in the world has better suspension'" than the Tesla Model 3 at that price tag...
quite a nice car but Performance badge not really worth it. not able to run even shorter version of Nurburgring without overheating the battery and stomp it in reduce power mode. brakes still terrible on track, you have to find yourself some track oriented pads and even the rotors. could be useful on short tracks with some proper mods, but still pretty disappointing that power is not consistent, i would prefer a shorter mileage in track mode with improved cooling in track mode. ofc if you wanna impress your friends at the stop light or comute is still a great car

I like the way you test and speak about the cars😊 I’m a petrol car lover but I’m also a Tesla fan 🥰 I have a Tesla M3P from 2021 and is very nice car to drive and the kick 🥰 I tried this version and in general all the car is better and I felt that is more faster in high speed it keeps going 🚀 One thing i dont understand in Tesla is that my model have 513 horse power a friend have also a TM3P and it has 530 horse power 😮 The one I tried the guy from Tesla said it was the one with 510 horse power
The door from the inside is completely different, also even from the outside there are differences such as the line from the side camera extending to the doors, so this is a completely new car then.
@@lukabosnjak3829 You didn't understand what I said. It's not about changing the door trim, but the design and size. The door is the same in these aspects. The car is a restyling and not something new. The brand itself confirms this.
Definitely disappointing. The Performance is not superior to my 22 M3P, its slightly faster, but overheats quicker. Seat position is worse, and the missing stalks due to cutting costs are a big mistake. Next EV wont be a Tesla, they dont care much about the cars anymore.
Despite all the justified criticism, for example regarding the operation of the indicators, you should still give credit to the car for the fact that the price-performance ratio is unbeatable...
Regarding wheel size: Chinese-built vehicles receive 19" Warp wheels as opposed to the 20" offered in other markets. Im interested to see what sizes are being offered in other markets...

@@alpahc Ah, thats interesting. I looked at the China configurator just to see what they looked like but haven't checked other major market configurators yet. Thanks!!
There is a big difference between track use and Street use. You normally dont go hard in the brakes every few seconds on the road. For Road use, the breaks are really good, just not when you use them really hard on a track, then they get too hot quickly.
This model is like seeing a grandma doing 100m in 8 seconds. You gotta respect that, but it just doesn't seem or feel right. The car doesn't look fast or agile.
@@gcvr in pure range yes, but to do 1000km you will need more time, and going 250 in the Tesla will need more time to recharge than the time needed at 120/130 km/h. comparing only a full charge, the model 3 is insanely efficient, with city driving consumption at 50 km being under 120w/km, it's a 2 in 1, a daily and a supercar in a good value package 💪
They are not that bad when you get use to them, when I am driving my wife’s car it is not bothering me anymore and when I am driving my car with normal indicators I do not notice the difference anymore. I am just missing head up display in Tesla
the old one was already insanely good, reviewers just never heard road and wind noise before because they are conditioned to ice cars. but it improved a lot on that as well.
Tell me a new car in Europe that does 3.3s 0-100 km/h with 80% of options as standard that costs 58k. I'll wait. (Here come the: but it doesn't make sound! and But on the track! comments)
nobody buys these cars with cash. most of them are leased through different schemes either provided by employers or through different businesses. depreciation is irrelevant to the first owners as they simply hand the car back at the end of term and the most depreciate the better for the 2nd hand buyers when the markets are flooded with these cars after 3 to 4 years.
I would like it if not for the turn signals being touch buttons on the steering wheel. That is just insanely stupid, as when the wheel is turned, you can't easily put on the correct turn signal...
My wife has m3 performance, when I am driving it I like playfulness of this car :D also for this price it has amazing audio quality, performance and long range versions have more speakers etc. I have few complaints, no head up display, no black headliner option and that is louder inside than my BMW iX (still much better than the old model 3) but it is not fair since my car is 2x price, much bigger etc
(Model Y) i love absolutely everything about it, i will never ever again consider any other brand ever. it is a blessing each day. it is so insanely better than anything else i ever had. and i was a petrol guy and i can repair anything on ice cars. jsyk
I think the biggest difference is from light weight forged wheels..and tires, so shame. I hope Tesla would take Pansonic battery for every M3P in worldwide
Isnt even faster than the old one, very disappointing. And the old one was slow at higher speeds too. Tesla just halfassed cars to rush them out quickly....
