Wow! Another awesome vlog! Such a beautiful sunset with God’s light shining through the clouds. That sure was a lot of geese. Thanks for sharing your travels with us. So enjoyable…
We stayed there last year no problem, but the lock by dry dock was leaking so we woke up to find the boat aground but a call to CRT and they sent water down so it was sorted. Unfortunately we were due to go up the Wigan flight but that day they shut it due to a sill failure on I believe lock 84! Ended up going to Liverpool brilliant well worth the visit.
Scotsman's Flash looks amazing. Gorgeous sunset too...and that's a lot of geese! And I agree with @lesleym6952's comment about Crick. Thanks for another lovely video.
Steve We moored exactly where you moored in Wigan 2 months ago. No trouble at all. Some people love to report difficulties so treat warnings with a pinch of salt. More bloopers. Turning right at that junction does not go to Manchester. Leeds, maybe, and left to Liverpool. I wonder why it's called the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Also APOLOGIES is the correct spelling and I could not see how you were opposite Scotsman's Flash. Adjacent maybe. Jeff
I stand corrected Jeff. Seriously though I do value your corrections so thanks for these Yes Wigan was fine for us and we hope to meet Tony and Jan there in the next few days. The locks are opening tomorrow and Tony hopes to descend them either tomorrow or Friday and , of course, we want to be there to meet them when they get to the bottom.
Hi Sonny. It was a pleasure working the locks with you and nan. Hope you enjoyed the rest of your cruise. Did you put nan’s boat up for sale in the end?
Great video - we’re on our way to Liverpool now but are hoping to head to Leeds afterwards so are curious about mooring up in Wigan. Did it end up being a good mooring choice?
It was absolutely fine for us. There is a small park opposite the dry dock where the drunks gathered but kept themselves to themselves and made little noise in the evenings. During the day the odd e-bike or e-scooter shot past but no bother to us
