Now that my brother's excavator is fully operational, we got busy doing the final demolition of my parent's 20 X 40 in-ground swimming pool. We started this project in March of 2023 and it's about time to get it done!
It was great to work with you again Sam. I knew we'd get it done sooner or LATER. I felt bad muddying her all up after all your hard work cleaning it but that's what she is for. Might need another pressure washing, lol.
You can tell your brother has spent some serious hours running a digger, and is very confident of what the machine will do, nice job moving the concrete berg and all the frogs. I knew there had to be a twist, no job ever goes just right so Ill be interested to see how you fix that little problem..
@@samsdoinstuff oh for sure, I realised from part of your editing that it was out already but I could see it was going to take some serious work to get it moved without sinking even more.......there is a hospital near where I grew up that has a JCB buried under part of it ..they drove it into a deep spring fed marsh and that thing was never coming out.
I see brother is more of a rip, rust or bust guy ! Mom & dad can be proud of their sons for getting the job done especially in those really wet conditions. Looks like the sub is sinking!!🤣🤣
Good morning Sam. Now that was a muddy job. Your brother did a lot of tricky maneuvering with the excavator. Your parents must be happy to finally have the pool out. Take care and stay safe!
Probably should have pumped out the water first. Letting all that muddy water into the creek would be a major no no in most areas, although it wasn't a huge amount of water, pumping it would have saved some of the mess
Thank you! We weren't in any violation in our area, but I agree we should have pumped out as much as possible. It would have helped with the compaction and he probably would not have gotten stuck 🤠👍
This year the wet ground... no, completely saturated ground... has been a HUGE challenge to work with here in western NY. Seems like every time my property starts to firm up a little to where we can drive the BX on it, we get a downpour that saturates us again. So far, 2024 has been the year of mud at my place.
The thumb is a home made add on. Not sure if I'm even going to keep it. I feel I should buy a factory thumb. The bucket has a quick adapter which I don't need because I only have one bucket. That adapter adds slop to the connection but it could use some TLC.
Hi iknow the digger is your brothers but you would have done it better you should have dug the trench first to let water go but well done for getting the digger stuck 😅😅😅
I definitely had a different vision. I also actually wanted to pump out the water first, but was convinced otherwise. The recovery is going to be a good video 🤠👍
Great job boys! I wish I knew how to contact you. There's a place near me that literally has stacks of wooden 'sheets' similar to what you built with pallets and 1/2" plywood. STACKS, for free! They might have helped here, and might help with your barn/tile/ditch drain! They were used by an electric company to move equipment when installing power lines
