the royal guard gear was what surprised me the most. I thought it was useless because of its low stats and no armor upgrades. but secretly having the climbing gear set bonus makes it very useful. im so glad it has a use because it looks so cool!
@@Croton How many times can you jump-climb with the Royal Gear? I know with the Climbing Gear set bonus, you can jump up 17-18 times with full stam wheel.
People are STILL making videos on Breath Of The Wild to this day! That's how great this game is! You're learning new things no matter how many times you've played it!
I'll admit, your shield video was probably one of the most helpful things I've ever seen when it comes to this game. It was just chock full of info I did not know, and I am a bonafide pro at this game! Seriously, I can't thank you enough for making that video.
I really like that you still make videos for Botw and not only AoC like other creators. Keep up the great videos!! :) looking for a part 2 and maybe 3,didmt except to learn new things because I saw a LOT of vids about this topic
Hell yeah we want a Part 2! The more info the better! Just when I thought I knew every single thing there was to know about this game, you're constantly finding more! So keep it up man, share the love!
Surprisingly, I figured a lot of these out myself early by just doing things. Like the quick spin? I remember being able to do something like that in WindWaker, so I gave it a shot in BOTW. Lo and behold, it worked!
I go to the place with the giant tree on Satori mountain to get all the mushrooms, I call it Mushroom Cove. I've never been there when the green glow is going so I had no idea beetles would be in the tree! I'm usually jumping off the rocks above the gathering of Blupees and shooting them for rupees. lol
Fun fact, to prepare for The Trial of the Sword. Buffs that have no timers, such as extra hearts & and stamina Buffs, won't interfere with buffs that have timers. So always max up your Stamina and Hearts, then maybe a damage or defense buff before going in.😁 Also, fire weapons just equiped on your back will keep you from freezing. Just quick swap to a different weapon when sneak attacking or fighting, then about 5 seconds just quick swap back to fire to prevent losing health.😁 It's a bit back and forth, but it keeps you from using up all you food, that you Normally would use for healing.😁
you can also go to mount taran for rhino beetles. It's better to farm them there as there are 4 swamps and marshes with a ton of those little rascals. Plus, you can boko and hinox parts, fleet lotus seeds and courser bee honey there as well!
@Super Greyflash UPDATE: I've now mastered the flow of combat, I go lynel hunting for fun. Maybe you'll reach the same point of badass soon. Wish you luck
On satori mountain next to the apple orchard at day when the mountain is active there will be a group of 45 herons in a pond that you can shoot an electric arrow at to farm drumsticks
Yeah, quick spin has been in every 3D Zelda game as far as I know, but the N64 controller's stick wasn't quite as smooth and responsive as its successors, so I found them considerably more difficult to reliably pull off in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. A few more quick spin tips... -Quick spin in OoT and MM does a level 1 charge attack with no magic consumption, and it even works with the huge Great Fairy Sword in MM. -Spin attacks don't collide with walls, so you can use them to great effect in confined areas; in Wind Waker, you can perform quick spins with those ridiculously long Moblin weapons which otherwise tend to bounce off of walls when swung normally. -Spin attacks in Breath of the Wild do not to additional damage like they did in other games. They're still good for fighting groups and for knocking them down, but otherwise they won't help you much in a 1-on-1. _(Bonus tip: the last hit of a combo usually knocks down an enemy, which is sometimes undesirable because you have to chase after them if they get knocked back too far, and the last hit also has a longer recovery time. Instead of mashing for the combo, swing your weapon just a few times, pause for a moment, and start swinging again. This allows you to keep hitting them without that big slow final hit, dealing more damage over time and sometimes allowing you to stun-lock them so they can't fight back.)_
Tip: Don't waste time on stamina food! Instead, farm endura mushrooms and carrots. Cook one separately and when eaten, it completely refills all your stamina and then some!
Wait WHAT?! I always assumed it would just add only the yellow meter of stamina, but it also acts as a full restore for depleted normal stamina?! Super useful! Thank!
@@Diamond_Aura your welcome! I glad to finally have someone listen to me! 😂 I have a lot of experience playing BOTW so if you have questions I could try to help!
@@skyemoore428 I mean the crazy thing is, I’ve played this game 4 full times including 2 120 shrine runs (in the middle of a 5th full playthrough right now), and in spite of that I swear I learn new things about the game every month, either from a video like this or personal experience. Like, I learned about twirling weapons and aiming rods on my own, as well as ice to lightning combos, etc, but it seems there’s always more to learn and it’s crazy how detailed and customizable this game is
Okay so I consider myself a pretty veteran BOTW player but damn I never knew you could freeze an enemy, stasis lock them, and then pelt them with electric arrows for continued AOE damage. I also never knew about that tree full of beetles. Bro, you rock seriously. Don't know how you have so much patience to do all these videos but hats off to you my friend.
Bonus tip, freeze and stasis from a high place and then bullet time with the shock arrows. Allows you to get out 8-12 shots or more depending on stamina and height.
There are Bladed Beetles on the great plateau. Due to the time of day you start the game, you're likely to see one on one of the first trees leaving the shrine of resurrection if you take it slow. Too often i scare it away by mistake, or fail to grab it, for years not knowing what i actually spooked. It's good to remember when starting master mode.
It is quite literally the best crowd clearing technique in the game. It turns the Eldin Great Skeleton camp from one of the most annoying enemy camps in the game to one of the easiest. Stand on the ribcage, shoot the Moblin with an ice arrow, equip a multishot bow and shock arrows, use stasis, jump, and fire away.
Those can be some of the best and most entertaining games to play for just that reason. There's so much to discover that repeated playthroughs can actually feel new. After ARK and BotW, I'm hooked.
@@mariocastello8746 ya i purposefully die to laugh at the ragdoll and then the game says"dont be under prepared when fiting monsters and im like i hav 456,000,000'0 hearts worth of food ill be fine
Just have to add for Satori Mountain, take a blizzard rod! Use is on all the trees covered in fruit! The fruit just falls to the ground. Saves a lot of time and effort. Only thing is it will break. I don't know how many swings you get before it breaks though. I've farmed up to 100 apples and many Dorians in minutes!!!
If people don't wanna shell out a giant ancient core for the ancient shield, the radiant shield is a great alternative. It's had the least friction among all of the shields and it's more common to find.
this actually did give me a number of new tips in addition to a couple things things I knew before. I have a few more tips to add 1: The Sheikah sensor+ can be used to locate lost arrows and thrown boomerang items when you have a picture of the weapon in question, something I use often. 2: It can also help in finding DLC gear without resorting to a guide. I was at a loss as to how to find the Korok mask in the lost forest before it dawned on me that it is in a chest and the Sheikah sensor+ can detect treasure chests no matter what type they are. 3: The Korok leaf is the greatest durability saving weapon on weak enemies. The gust of wind knocks down Keeses and and knocks apart Skal enemies without having to hit them, leading to easy follow up attacks for 1 damage to finish them off. The gust can also be aimed (and thus the leaf cannot be thrown at enemies) and around tall cliffs or deep water is a great way to defeat early game enemies on master mode when the weapons are still too weak to whittle at the larger regenerating health bars. It makes getting the maracas a literal breeze. Bombs work much the same but is harder to coax a whole group in one direction with them and neither one will help against Moblins.
Update: if you want a more consistent way to pull off the constant weapon hitbox exploit, press Y, then mid attack hold x, release that as you then hold b, then release that as you hold y to activate the spin! It's a bit more steps, but without these extra inputs it won't always work right Thanks for watching though, here's to a great 2021 ahead!! I honestly never knew about the beetle tree in satori mountain in my 900 hours playing this, but brings up a great idea, have you considered a video listing every farmable item in satori mountain?... I know there are hearty radishes, durian, rushrooms, swift violets, apples, and more, but theres so many and are often difficult to relocate, an in depth satori mountain area guide would be amazing, and I know there's plenty of other hidden farming areas like the durians next to faron tower, and a lake on the mountain southwards that has a large number of fish of various types, these exceptional farming areas are all over the world, often quite hidden, and in my opinion, would make an excellent compilation... Especially in your consise and friendly style...
Croton if we know all of those tricks can we say we master cycled the game ........ yeah i know its the worst joke ever bye the way continue ur videos ur work is awesome and ur voice is chill and am always excited when i see u posted a knew video . Have a good day
I really, really appreciate having a video that gives me real tips, not beginner ones. I'll constantly see videos that say "advanced tips", but it's just basic things that basically everyone knows at this point.
Another great tip is that if your master sword is low on durability, you can instantly bring it back to full health by entering the trial of the sword, and using your shieka slate to teleport out, when you materialize, your master sword will be once again at 100% durability
I often find myself lynel farming, with my 60 master sword instead of mounting it, simply headshot the lynel, while it is stunned, you have time for 8 hits, before you slightly back up, draw your bow, and headshot him again just after he finishes shaking his head to avoid not stunning him... Once he is stunned, you can chain these attacks and I've found a 60 damage master sword has enough durability to kill 3 golden Lynels before needing to be recharged....
Never sheath your weapons in front on Lynels especially the Silver Lynel on the Great Plataue. This one has a Bomb Arrows that'll easily hit you if they're being sniped upwards, so never pull weapons out since they'll see this as threat. They're nice enough to let you leave.
I got like 5 of them in a row once. Was killing Lynels to get my xp up and that was the only type of how they would drop. Meanwhile on my other 4 playthroughs I’ve only ever seen 1 or 2 of them. :/
@Marrow ༄ I have 7 5-shot Lynel bows and 4 ancient bows in my inventory. I have two Lynel and one ancient on the wall of my house, they're all mostly duplicated.
I really love this channel because it gives tips I actually need and can make me understand it too. It also almost always have tips I haven't heard somewhere else.
Some people are adding in their own tips, so here is mine. For the shooting targets Korok challenges, you can stasis the airborn pots to have a nice steady target to shoot. It won't break once the stasis ends, but since it has a new trajectory, it won't be "caught" where it normally lands, and when it hits the ground it will break and count.
9:20 if you get a photo of an energetic rhino beetle and use your sheika sensor, they become so easy to farm, go to akkala, wait till night time, spin around and follow the sensor, can easily get up to 6 beetles a night
I never knew about the beetle tree! Also if you go to Lurelin village and wonder near it at night you will find all 3 types of beetles on the sides of palm trees. This is all along the coast near Lurelin and to the west. I recommend using a sneaky potion or wearing the Sheikah outfit to not scare them, but you can get plenty of them that way.
Your guides are amazing! We can't thank you enough for all the time you've put in to test and compile your results! Please give us a part 2!! One tip I can't find in any guide anywhere is on specific timings for dodging/parrying normal enemy attacks (there are guides for guardians and lyonels, but I'm referring to the normal foes). Most guides just say to dodge as they attack, but that's obvious and vague. I'm around 15-20 hours in and just can't seem to get the timing consistent. I know it takes practice, but tips on how to better read their animations or what to watch for would be very helpful! :)
its the middle of 2022 and i just discovered this game...i am a big elder scrolls fan,but after maybe thousands of hours i needed something different and i am so happy ive found this game...looks childish to me but after a few hours i am hooked...i am just a bit concerned with this durability thing..so annoying. :)
“Unlimited beams.” That is a feature I found as well that I love! Now I don’t need to worry about breaking a weapon or losing ore in water or from rolling away due to bombs!
here's a tip: if you're in a field (or any open area, really) and see a bunch of guardians and you can't tell if they're active or not, use stasis. they'll turn yellow if they're active, or won't if they're not! hope this helped
If you ran out of Stamina while climbing and fall, you can use your paraglider one last time to save yourself. You don't need dragon horns for 30 minutes elexir, you can use monster extract unstead but get ready for some randomness. Make sure to save before using them. Full shiekah armor allow you to sneak upon enemies while at full walking speed. You don't need to sneak. You can fish using bombs, and you can even whistle to make the fish go crazy and get stuck on the shore, very sastisfying. And heres a super useful tip: you can use statis to highlight collectible ingredients (mushrooms, fruits.... ) makes searching a lot easier.
These tips are all extremely helpful. My favorite being the master sword beams on full hearts and charge! I would definitely enjoy another video, but I would totally understand if there aren’t enough new tips to showcase. Thanks so much for your work!!!
Just make sure to leave the map area after you pick everything up. Every minute, there is a 1% chance per item, but only if you are in a different map area or (I think) in a dungeon.
The radiant shield is the best for shield surfing but the ancient shield can also deflect gaurdian beams without parrying. Using durability transfer and the Hylian shield, you can make it's durability skyrocket.
If you don’t mind glitching, you can durability dupe the hylian shield to the radiant shield (the best shield surfing shield in the game) and now you have a practically unbreakable super smooth shield surfing shield.
Another distinguishing feature of weapons with modifiers is that while on the ground, there is a sound cue to go along with the larger sparkle (it sounds like a faint twinkle.) This can also help you identify weapons with modifiers among monster loot on the ground.
