I have to thank you for this video for a different reason. I am a park ranger in Florida and I LOVE that none of your hacks involved hanging/tying anything to the vegetation/trees! You mentioned that most parks allow the kids to use sidewalk chalk, so thank you for checking before letting them go to town! And, you are making sure that the kids stay on site (not just assuming that because you are camping they are safe wandering around/couldn’t possibly get into any mischief away from you! Thank you for being a respectful camper and modeling it for the kids AND sharing that with your viewers!
Oh the good old days....family camping! Not a vacation for mom for sure. Organizing, Preparation for Meals, Packing, etc. then the BIG cleanup once back at home! 😊
I just want to say THANK YOU I literally put every single item you showed on my camping list. My husband and I are going on a 5 days tent camping trip on memorial day weekend in Kentucky and I've been watching some of these types of videos just to get ideas. This video is by far the best I've watched so far. Thank you so much for sharing plus we sometimes forget about dollar general but I love it they have almost everything you need. That's where I went to get almost all of my kitchen necessities when I moved into my first apartment. So thank you so much and if you have anymore ideas please make another video.
I have been trying to persuade my parents to rent an RV for June right after school ends! I really want to travel across the US! I hope they will say yes!
These were all excellent ideas!!💗☺️ Not since our mothers' or grandparents' time has Ivory been environmentally friendly and that was only the laundry soap. The bars have never being environmentally friendly (and Procter & Gamble is just a terrible company).
I went camping with my mom, dad and my little brother... it was beautiful ❤ I really like seeing videos like this, maybe for our next trip this will be helpful!
Great ideas, thank you! If you use a pool noodle, on the bar of the RV canopy, to prevent hitting one's head. They often sell them at the Dollar Store.
We used to take a clean and dry water bottle, like the cheap great value kinds? And we would put our eggs in those (precracked lol) and then we could shake it really easily and then dump it in the skillet, we would also make some that had chopped ham and onions and peppers etc in them for a premixed and space saving omelette, loaded scrambled eggs, basis for a breakfast burrito, etc.
I absolutely loved your hacks. I was a tent camper with two little boys, before the days of Dollar Tree, so I made up lots of other ways to make a campsite work for us. Your ideas would make any camping with kids so awesome!
I have also seen tips for using the used condiment squeeze containers...ie catsup.. to use for pancakes. The flavored creamer containers when washed and removed the outer labels, can hold snacks for on a long trip or at campsite. I agree with your soap wash up tip. We made a wash station with a tv tray/stand, wash dish pans and we got some macramé tubing from my mom and made the soap holder that, if lucky, we had a tree with lower branches in our site to tie the soap holder to, and our paper towels went onto a wire pants hanger and that was also hung from the tree. Love the solar light ideas. We didn't have those back in the day but the foot washer would have been handy for near tent...but not too near. Maybe by table/benches at night. It looked like you might have also have had an ice maker on that table. Great idea when you have electricity handy with an RV. 👍🏻 Thanks for all the great ides. 👍🏻👍🏻🥰
An "over the door" hook is a good item for your shower caddy. Sooooo many times I have had no place to hang my robe or clothes at a campground shower house.
So many good Ideas! Saved to my favorites. From the soap in a sock to the shower cap dish covers! Loved the use of the pinwheels to give the kids unspoken boundaries.
Great ideas Jennifer. I wished I had known about those hacks long ago. My boys are all older now and we have not camped in the 7 years we have lived in our current house. So in case we ever do go again, I will use all of your hacks to make our camping trip awesome!
Great ideas!! Our family loves to go caming! We have 6 kids ao space is very limited in our RV. I love the basket idea for shoes! The shower cap for covering is perfect. We have a few of the old Dollar Tree food tints but they come apart easy. Plus they take up a lot of space on the table when over the food.
Terrific ideas! My only recommendation for anyone getting those bungee cords is they off gas something awful. Great for outdoor, but you may regret bringing them inside to a small space like I did. Not even to store. Really bad! Thanks for the video! ❤
Loved the video smart to mark out danger areas in the dark but Im thinking is there no other way than to use glows ticks? Not the most environmentally friendly things? Something more reusable like the other lanterns?
Get a tent with a portable AC. Make sure the campsite has electricity. A lot of people think you need a propane gas stove with electric at the campsite you can just use a flat top griddle or electric appliances
You should put a wash cloth in the bottom of the foot wash tub. We do this at the beach. When I was a kid back in the 60’s, my feet would get black. We would hose the sidewalk and scrape the bottom of our feet on the concrete.
Happy Mothers Day Jennifer..... Camping is heaps of fun..........you should make Aussie Damper... Made over a camp fire... Lots of fun and only a few ingredients.... It's delicious with jam and a cuppa tea... Love and light from Melbourne Australia xxx
Put a spray bottle of white vinegar in your shower caddy. Use it to spray the floor and faucets of any public shower as a disinfectant before a scrub down.
