It’s indicative of the direction to todays game - no slight on him. It’s just the reality of it. The ability to be a wide receiver in the backfield is more valuable than that of a pure runner. Let Antonio Gibson or Cordarelle Patterson have a good year, and see what happens.
Because we get down to the red zone and they throw him swing passes and dare you to tackle him in the open field hes putting his players in the best position to win thats what coaches do
exactly. i'll take it. i love me some Ekeler all effing day! 21 on the list would say he's not underrated, but his leaderhsip on the team is still way overlooked. he's a force
@smoothsayer2180 Agreed, but Allen had his first significant injury in 5 years missing 7 games and Williams missed 5 , so you gonna throw to Bandy who's back in Areana League or XFLwhatever fake football he's playing! Or write a Chek to Ek!???
Earned and deserved. This man's hard work is inspiring. I am not going to come in here comparing his #21 rank to any other player, because he 100% earned his spot on this team as an UDFA. And lets be real, his utility as a player is RARE. His grit and determination to excel remind me a lot of Steve Smith.
For sure better than both of those last season lol or prove it through the stat line lol plus Chubbs and CMC play for teams who completely run their offense through their rbs. Ek is doing this through pure determination and heart. Beats you through the run and as a pass catcher
People who think this is too high don't watch or understand football. This isn't high enough. Most underrated player in the NFL. Casuals may leave now.
Add up the scrimmage yards and TDs he he outclass them great. CMCs been hurt and once on the niners became a beast again. Dude had 100 catches last year and nearly 900 yards rushing and catching. 18 TDs. What more do you want from a rb. That's production is crazy and it ain't a fluke bc it's been like that for 3 years straight
@@AFuckingBird brother this is off last year. Look me in my four eyes and tell me Henry had a better season. Lol 😆 nope. He is a better rushing back, but is way way way way behind in pass catching lol which is why EK has also way more total.yards than Henry...and more impact to make a diff every play
@@plumkinhorres3216Im a Chargers fan my man, Ekeler was by far more productive stats wise. But give me Henry in that Jags game, or any other close game we lost, my moneys on Henry grinding it out getting us those Ws
Great RB sucks he never got paid big bucks..If he was drafted in early rounds his extension would’ve been massive, but being undrafted getting an extension the very least was the best thing to happen for him
He is force fed the ball in the redzone and gets a insane amount of targets due to the OC not letting Herbert throw, of course he is gonna have insane stats, guarentee u he won’t have as crazy stats with Kellen Moore
I'm a Chargers fan and definitely think Henry and Chubb is better than him, but I believe this is based off last year and Ekeler did have a great season.
