Wow Sohaib! Today's show was special for us not just from a journalistic perspective but for anyone interested in human anthropology. Each person whom you spoke to demonstrated the outcome of 3 generations of conscious brainwashing / narrative building within a society. Researchers would love this and I'm sure from your expressions you too were going "hot damn...are these people for real?". The first gentleman is the ray of hope...a tiny middle class sliver of the Pak population that is using the internet and material from youtubers like yourself to poke their heads out of the well and see the world as it is..not as it exists in their fantasyland. His awareness of the nature of the temporary provision called Article 370 was spot on. It had been gradually whittled away over 60 years as all central legislation was being extended to J&K like the rest of the country. Removing it was a formality but broke the dalali potential of the established political families. A small correction on land ownership- there are multiple hill states where Indians cannot automatically buy property. This is to protect local land from being bought out by wealthier citizens living in the plains. Generally Indians CAN buy land/ apartments in other states. The 2nd individual is at the other end of the spectrum parroting the official narrative till checked by Sohaib. You have got to love how cool all the urdu words for torture and harrasment sound when used for Kashmiris. It must be fun to live in a simple echo chamber believing oneself to be a ghazi while the rest of the world cries for your help. Anthropologists and ISI minders who are reading this…the beauty of Pak society is that these chaps don’t even know they are lying or faking a narrative.
