@@joseramirez1595 An Arp is an Appregio. You play an chord, but you play the notes not at the same time. You can play them up and down or whatever you want. But just not at the same time. I bet this melody was just an omnisphere preset. So a single note would be a whole melody, but if you even play these kind of presets in chords or arps, it gets crazy. Like maybe this? I not sure, I dont know much about music
Whether it's a 404 vst or not, it's definitely a square wave oscillator. Any vst emulating analog subtractive synthesizers should be able to do it if you know what you're doing. I somehow doubt it's anything custom Metro made. He's a kick ass producer, but doesn't strike me as a guy bent on customizing something this simple. The "chiptune" sound is a simple monophonic oscillator with only 3 modes. Sawtooth wave, sine wave, or square wave. Modified square is sometimes an option, but is not used to make "chiptunes" usually. Anyway, watch a few videos about how to set subtractive synthesizers, or something along those lines if you don't know how to use it, and it will start to make sense if you pay attention. If not, learn how to find vsts and vst patches/presets, or stop trying to make music. If kids can make shit, you can too. Takes a lot of time. Yes, I produce, my tracks on my RU-vid are all made using Reason. I recently started using FL Studio again, but already used it since version 3. I definitely know how to use both. Reason is by default more "true" to being capable of making "chiptune" music. Subtractor, and even Maelstrom can do the job with no loaded patch instrument. It's that basic.
Minty bells doesn't keep up with the tempo, it seems very fx-ish rather than an arp, but it sounds exactly like the sound in the og track, but metro had to have used an arp for this.
