Anytime you have multiple boxes to pick up from a single location, move them all to the airlock before moving them to your ship. That way you don't have to fiddle with de/pressurizing the airlock every time you come back to pick up the next box.
Shut engine off upon landing. Can confirm. Just recently watched my Reliant Kore go tumbling away in a windstorm as I was just about to open the ramp with a box in hand. The explosion at the end of its unplanned lift off was spectacular however.
Word of caution for the tractor beam tool: moving boxes by only using the tool can mean the mission does not update in status. You'll have to actually pick it up by hand at least once for the mission to progress to the next destination.
Generally the tractor beam is a must have tool to do these missions, if you're picking up (or dropping off) three boxes from one station setting them down outside the ship then grabbing them and restacking them near the next interaction point (door/ship) can save some time walking around on the planet. But in many cases it is easier to just grab each box and carry it by hand, using the tool to simply rescue a box from glitchiness.
I’ll be honest, I love doing box missions, really miss the ones across the system, used to pick up 5-7 boxes around Crusader and take them to ArcCorp area
Depends - for me my EM is higher but only way to lower it is to turn off shields... idk maybe I should since if i am detected while im out of my ship, they can destroy it easily even with shields on
I like to get myself into habits, to help prevent accidents with landing pads, cruise control, weapons, or collisions. First I call ATC to request landing clearance (where applicable), then as I come into land, I go through a checklist, as soon as I get landing approval, or I'm within 2000m from an outpost: Slow to half of the SCM speed for better control and visibility. Lower landing gear, so I don't forget, but to show my intent to other players. Turn on the lights, so I can both see and be seen. Turn OFF cruise control. I fly in manual to land always. Power-down weapons. We don't want any mishaps in a green zone. Line myself up for landing. Final touch down is always at minimum throttle. I tend to lower speed as I get closer to the pad, for more control. Once you get used to applying a checklist to every landing, you should lower the chances of accidents.
These are all great tips! I think the box delivery missions are good to get some decent starting out money but to get familiar flying around the verse. My only gripe is I wish the missions did pay a bit more...or maybe they could scale to the ship you have and cargo space available. I actually enjoy the delivery missions but its a gameplay mechanic that isn't really worth doing once you've made enough money which is a shame.

Solid vid Subliminal, highly agree with taking one mission only for the first few times, ye'all might think stack'n em would be easy peasy but it can get silly stupid keeping track of which box needs to go where. one thing you can do about this is try to organize how you put them in your ship. IE in Subs vid he wanted to save New Babbage for last, as all the boxes were picked up from the same place, I'd have picked up that box first and made sure it was the bottom box and thus the last one off the ship. this gets much tricker when you have 6 or 9 or 12 boxes you have to deal with depending on how many missions you stacked up. I'd highly recommend the avenger titan it is a solid starter ship and can do so much of the early game loops from box missions, larger "light" cargo runs and even pve missions (just remember to OC your shields and maybe watch a vid on ship combat.)
In as much as I SUCK at pew pew, I done a gazillion packages missions. Though I prefer the old ones which I never had issues delivering. The new pizza deliveries are a bit wacky. Though I've made a lot of auec's doing them, well into the tens of million in the past year. They frustrate the hell out of me when there's one left and the drop point for whatever reason won't accept it and thus get paid nothing for the time and effort delivering the other two. And since 3.12B has dropped, I'm never able to finish a drug running mission.
I still fly box missions myself. I think the thing that keeps me doing them I just love fly in the Verse. Plus they keep you sharp with taking off, navigating and landing. Agree with the engine shutdown, but keep your shields up in case your ship gets blown into a building, tree or rock. Also, if flying a Titan, close your ramp when leaving your ship to pickup or deliver a package
Tip: the Crusader system has box missions at the Covalex Hub Gundo that are usually 8,000 or 5,000 aUEC respectively but they only involve delivering one box each. The catch is that sometimes griefers hang out there and you can die from entering your ship in zero gravity if you're not careful.
Another benefit of doing box missions is that you get to see a lot of locations on different planets and biomes. I like doing box missions just for fun. I bring freelancer with a Mule for better immersion). I place boxes on a side grid, drive from landing pad to a building, turn in, get back to the ship and fly to the next adress.
Only just got into this, but I'd add the tip to wear heavy armor when putting multiple boxes into the Aurora to reduce the chance of being killed by those damn things :-D
One tips you missed is that, if you have to look up your starmap before your next delivery, start by putting your ship on cruse mode at 90 then look your star map, since this mode is automatic. it takes a bit of getting use too because in some atmospheres your ship might deviate but once you find the good balance you can do wtv you want.
I think for this one I purposely didn't want to show the starmap because its so bugged and not necessary for these missions. When I do the bounty hunting guide ill have to explain how to use the broken POS.
New for 3.15: With the addition of tier 0 loot mechanics, many of the areas you collect and drop off boxes from will have crates that contain FPS guns, ammunition, weapon accessories, and other useful items. Collecting these means you'll have to spend less later if you wish to attempt ground combat missions.
@@SubliminaLstv Also the stock lists for the boxes do seem to have subscriber flair items. I've found paladin helmets, and a lot of the blades. Sawtooth, FSK-8, and even demon fang knives from the old CitCon 2948 pack
Always leave your cruise control on, remap your Decrease Thrust to Q and your Increase Thrust to E, and adjust your speed to your needs, then move your ship with WASD. This way is better because the longer you hold Q/E, the increment is greater. For instance, if you just click it and hold for a sec, it will slowly alter the thrust, while clicking and holding for a while will start slow and end up fast. It is kinda simulation of a physical Thruster
Thank you so much for showing me how to stack packages in the Aurora. I was trying to do 2 missions at once just dropping the packages in the cabin. The final box pushed me through the roof of the ship and I died. Wasted an entire hour.
When leaving a delivery outpost scroll wheel all the way down. That will make you walk more slowly so the wind will be less likely to literally blow you into the stairs. Once the you are on the ground the wheel can be scrolled back up
Excellent video as always. Box missions paved my way to trading. Problem is that I still can’t fight my way out of a paper sack. Would it be possible to have a 21 tip [give or take] guide to ship-to-ship combat. I don’t know when I’m gimbaled and when I’m not, and I’ve never successfully hit with a missile. I will add that my ships are heavily influenced by your load out guides. Thanks for your past and future content!
A good video. Most of this I knew but there were a few I didn't. On the issue of landing in the dark and in bad weather I find using a scan (TAB) helps.

Ships like the Pisces can fit enough boxes to take pretty much all the available missions at once. I ran a triangular route for Long and hit 3 planets but made 40k for it. I planned my route to minimize repeating jumps (I did it in 4)
Worth noting that some of the smallest ships do not have lights, for example the Argo MPUV-C/MPUV-P and the F7C Hornet off the top of my head. Oddly enough the F7C-M Super Hornet does, but the Hornet does not.
Ah yes, wind and starter ships. luckily the storms on Hurston are far weaker these days. Also nice: Watching your ship getting blown off a rooftop landing pad in New Babbage Btw: you might have mentioned for how relatively cheap the Avenger ( and 300i ) can be bought while you listet the rental prices
I'd say about Tip #13. Plan your route while exiting gravity well. Just point straight upwards make pointer be still, turn on autopilot "C" and do anything you need, map included. Tip #15. It's 20k height at average. Overall it's about renting Titan, taking all missions spending half of the day. But as a reward you could end up in bunker delivery where you could gear up and gather a lot of stuff usually not even involving in firefight. So spent second half of rental day with Titan effectively.
i always recommend new players to do these. You learn to fly, land, takeoff, navigation, using quantum, etc. Also, plenty of loot boxes: grab the clothes, armor, tools. you make more selling those than the mission pays. also, you can usually get a full suit of armor for your toon and save money. You literally don't need to buy anything.
Switch your view when you get close to your designation or low to the ground at night. In third person view, the view is much clearer and brighter even if you don’t have lights on.
I, U, Y in that order whenever I leave the ship just easier then and when I do a space mission and have to leave the ship I don't have my ship racing away from me, also for New Babbage landing just outside the commons surface entrance for a drop off in the commons saves time and effort better than landing at the star port
Great advice for new players! I enjoy doing delivery missions sometimes just because the traveling is relaxing, but its a shame that the reward is way too small in terms of actually making money, especially now that you can easily solo group warrants that give 60k+
#made-it-to-the-end Great breakdown! I didn't know about the wind effect on powered ships but that explains some things I've seen. Other reasons I consider when powering off is lowering EM signature and saving fuel. Also cuts the dust/snow kicked up which can give your position away, but that's only helpful against players who aren't in ships. Really liked the tips about box stacking too. This whole guide will be super helpful for players just starting out.
Excellent vid. Not a noob but hadn’t done these in a long time. Wish I had watched this first ad I forgot about not using the place by interacting with the parcel point. Two small tips I might add. 1) if you can be online with a friend/org mate it helps to have some backup in case of a medical emergency 2) There are loot boxes in most of these stations. It can be worth more than the missions pay out in credits
I had the habit of closing engines when landing because ships were never standing still with engines on. You'd find your ship's ramp watching skies up top when you return from purchasing some widows or you'd find your ship beyblading if you had to EVA a bit. Time after time had different types of problems emerged due to leaving engines on when exiting so now i always tell new comers to keep shields on for safety but engines off for stability.
Being completely new to the game (2nd day) i did quite some delivery missions. Sometimes I had routs with 6 conttacts at once. It is a little tricky to keep track but it works. BUT I don't recommend taking contracts which have 4 or more boxes involved. The reason for that is that many of those missions are heavily bugged. So if the delivery of one single package is not recognized, the whole misson fails meaning no cash at all. I've waised hours flying from one spot to another and not being paid at the end... Well ... At least I learned to fly... The hard way 😂
nice guide... a bit suggestion, but mind to summarize at the end with bullet points to remember (tips&trick i think can be left out), also i think you forget to tell why you need to buy a set cold/ hot armor (aka. it wont work if not set), in night area the range finder can easy to see, but someplace/time its hard to see, so use the QT way point can be a trick to change HUD color from blue/green/yellow to red
Thats very specific to where you try to go. The ruck sack is better if your weather allows because you can load one and swap out to another and load it too. Plus it's not heavy armor so less food/water drain. Plus the nov/pem seem to bug out quite often for some reason, so that's worth bearing in mind
@@chomp7927 I've also got 2 of the rucksacks, but I tried and can't get them to swap with each other because they are identical, so I start off with one of them, then switch to the others as they get full, but the pem/nov hold so much more. Also, I like caving on the moons, so heavy armor not such an issue.
I love doing the courier missions, just find them oddly satisfying. Would say that my favourite ship for doing them is the terrapin, it's the only one I've never had clipping problems with personally (probably because it's so chonky) and just has a very covienient layout with plenty of floorspace and VTOL makes its super easy to land even in crappy weather. Do I recommend it? Only if you've already got it, if not the avenger titan is 95% as good at the job for a third of the price.
Far from a vet here but when landing at a planet moon locations at night use TAB to do a scan burst every so often to get a look at the terrain ahead and get a better sense of your descent speed and vector. Also moons have much lower gravity so it's easier to come in way too fast. I've never been able to cancel QT travel while travelling around a planet...either by pressing B or killing the engines... Is it actually possible?
It appears that some ships respond differently... lately I use "U" to cut all power BUT you'll want to tap it again to get control. The Mustang Beta will spin crazily until the power spools up. In terms of box missions, using a tractor beam tool, to lift and drop boxes behind the pilot seat, the mustang beta can hold a number of boxes directly behind the seat and in the attached living quarters. and has decent firepower.
Ya these delivery missions are still bugged. Can’t drop them off, box won’t take them. Very frustrating after spending all that time to get them. Done 4 deliveries and none would allow me to finish by dropping them off in the box.

turning off engine even in the hangar, my vanguard sometimes floats mid air 10ft above the ground then you have to take out the quantum drive and power plant
Hello, how did you get your HUD in the Aurora to show those lines, so you can line up your ship to an exact degree? I've been wanting that for a while, so lets say if I want my ship to stay on an exact 5 degree pitch on cruise. I"m not sure what those lines are called, but there always in every flight simulator. It's called a pitch ladder I believe.
You just got the game and bought the Carrack? Dayum son! The best way would be picking up a greycat ROC and mining planetside. Currently cargo is not lucrative. Hopefully that changes in 3.13.
I had a box disappeared in my ship, when to pick the last package and when I came back to the ship its gone 😐 I try to look for it using the marker and I found the marker drifting in space before disappearing ☹️
any tips for if you crash , die or logout by mistake while in the middle of a package mission? it seems to me all is lost if one of these 3 things happen
I use ReShade. It essentially adds photoship filters to the game. Reshade.me is the website. I use HDR, vignette, and I think some sort of vibrancy filter.

worst advice to buy a suit. by any means should you ever have anything on you except a few med-pens and food while doing delivery. cuz all it takes is 1 unlucky death and game crash for you to lose all items on you. but amazing video nonetheless.
