21-Year-Old Woman Causes Uproar Buying House WITHOUT a Mortgage!
You’re a disgrace if you can’t be happy for someone bettering their own life. It takes nothing away from you to clap for others.
Stop being a victim your whole life, take some accountability - practice self awareness and smile for others and work hard on your own dreams. Your time will come IF you stop giving all your power to your excuses and circumstances and hating on young people.

@Penderyn We all started with nothing once upon a time. Took me to 16 until my family got our own house, watching my mother work 3 jobs and have to grow up too quick in a single parent family. I grew up working since 15 and haven’t stopped since. The comments she got (not one i shared as the original video got reported) were despicable. People getting personal and angry at her, like she stole a house from them. I find it inspiring seeing young and old people do well. You can be mad at the system and happy for individuals achieving things you want. First time I knew about home ownership at school I was inspired, I wasn’t jealous even though we never had our own home. I saw it as a blueprint. I empathise sometimes but then when I see people not try, or just make excuses and virtue signal, it’s hard to be as compassionate. Maybe I’m just banging my head against the wall. People will cry and moan about anything I guess.

With mortgage payments, down payments, and interest rates at astronomical prices, I am thrilled for this young woman. We have to do what works for us as individuals. Some people inherit their homes, some scrape by every month paying a mortgage or paying rent while trying to save, some liquidate everything to get a down payment together, some use their retirement funds. Home ownership has more than one path. Kudos to this woman🎉

If you buy a house at 21 that's amazing. If you have done well as a social influencer why not. The anger towards her is more at the cost of buying a home for ordinary people. But the real cause of this is that planning departments of councils wanting to restrict the supply of housing being built. House prices should tend to the build cost of the house, but it doesn't because of the restriction of supply by councils . Why hate someone who managed to earn enough to buy a house.

Well said, people expect it on a plate and are ragingly jealous of those who succeed by their own efforts. Time for people to take responsibility for their lives instead of expecting the government to subsidise their food and energy bills.

Not sure why she's apologising, good on her. Personally I wouldn't plaster my achievements over social media but I'm 48 not 21😂. Everyone has the chance to better themselves but they choose to stick with something that's not really working, it's jealousy.

"I feel discouraged from sharing my blessings. Even some homies be wearing expressions." - Jack Harlow On to the video, the fact that she even caved and apologized to these guys is sad. Sharing your blessings on the internet isn't the same as down on others who don't have as much. A bunch of the people who are leaving these comments are probably in terrible places in their life right now, and instead of working on themselves or bettering themselves, they chose to let that bitterness take over. Now, maybe just maybe the video was a little tone-deaf at best, but it didn't warrant even a third of the vitriol she got.

No one can be happy for anyone else anymore. Altruism and good will is dead. I've become hard and cynical in my old age of 34. Good for her, she deserves it.
@TheAnxiousInvestor

Don’t get cynical. I used to start feeling like every time I got done over by someone, or saw bad things happen. World needs more good people, even if it is just people who aren’t bad and cheer for others.

Its not her fault she became famous.. Once she knew she was growing popular.. she worked hard for it. Credit given to that. We gotta stop comparing ourselves to other people and let ourselves into personal evaluation and be better from our past. Easier said than done? Only we know what's best.

I think the issue is someone “defrauding” other on social media. I don’t know what she does but a good example is a popular American finfluencer, saying he making money via skipping avocado on toast, but was really making money from RU-vid. No one would have got rich following his advice, unless they have a RU-vid channel too. If she honestly worked to be where she is, congratulations. You can’t just force people to congratulate people without knowing how they did it. It’s like saying we should congratulate a bank robber for buying a house mortage free.
@TheAnxiousInvestor
@TheAnxiousInvestor Год назад
Shes made her money from being an influencer and that upsets people. My only thing in regards to your statement: "You can't just force people to congratulate people without knowing how they did it" makes sense, although people don't need any prompting to be evil, nasty and say hurtful things without full context. As the saying goes, if you got nothing to say, then don't say anything at all. Also judging from the story, it's people projecting their own unhappiness and directing the comments towards her, for not "having a real job" and speaking of their hardships. Appreciate the comment though - food for thought.
@jimmydavis7587
@jimmydavis7587 Год назад
I aporeciate the kindness but it's easier to say from a wealthy position, had you had a cruel life and were you living in poverty now maybe you wouldn't be cheering her on so much. I have more empathy for the poor commenters than the wealthy bragadocious tiktoker personally Though I personally would not have attacked her, there's no need for that but I'd rather be wealthy with mean comments than not affording to pay rent and not have mean comments
@TheAnxiousInvestor
@TheAnxiousInvestor Год назад
I grew up very poor. We was actually the poorest out of my family & school year. So I’m cheering her on regardless. My mother worked 3 jobs and I had to start working from 15. It took me 10 years of work to save a deposit for my house. It’s not about being wealthy or not. It’s about the state of mind people have. I get ridiculous comments about me having a house as If I’ve directly taken it from someone else. I come from an immigrant family. I worked non stop, so did my family. We only got out first house when I was 16, we was poor as shit until then. We never complained, we never moaned, we just worked. So I know what it’s like to have nothing. Hence why I try and share everything I can so someone else growing up like me can do it bigger and better. Be happy for people, regardless of where you come from and help anyone you can as being kind never made anyone poor. The latter was what my mother taught me and we’d be better of doing that then judging people. Also I don’t begrudge wealthy families. I hope my children can grow up into wealth - it’s why I do what I do. We are so judgey as people and rarely take accountability for our own paths. Sorry for the rant but I cheer her cos I love to see others win!

I'm also not in a wealthy position nor is my family but here I am being one of her biggest cheerleaders. Like the poster says, it costs absolutely NOTHING to be kind. She worked for her money, she saved responsibly and she got herself something that most people don't have. She did that and she should be congratulated on her success instead of being hated on. Misery loves company, it doesn't matter if you're poor or rich. No one deserves to be treated that way. Just like you'd want to be showed some compassion for being an underserved population she should also be served that same compassion for doing something with her life and making it. Let's do better
@patarciepaul
@patarciepaul Год назад
It's the fact that she made money for doing next to nothing that annoys most people. Flashing her fanny a few times on social media opposed to working 40 plus hours per week. The system is messed up.
